This team is really shap- ing up in their regular season; with lots of action from everyone. In -eight regular season games, seven have been sue- eessful for Lucknow and they have one win and one loss in exhibition hockey. The Silver Stick Tournament has so far (as of Dec. 29) been sueeessful. Lucknow won over Tata 7 - 0, Drayton 6 -3 and Hillsburg' 5 - 3. This° will allowed the team to goto the quarterfinals. Luekuow vs Tara Darryl Gibson was very definitely in the right place at the right time when he took a pass from Justin Murray, assisted by Stan Kikkert and opened the scoring. Chris Steventon, and Justin Murray would not let up' as they .kept coming•m on Tara and finally netted the second goal off the stick of Stevenson, Brad Rhody took his time and put a real nice pass onto the' stick of Vince Sticklend for the third, Donnie Cuillerier tipped one over to Matt Drennan who put the fourth away. Sticklend received another nice pass from team mate Sproul and put the fifth one -in. Justin Murray showed a lot of determination that finally' payed off for the sixth, assisted by Warren ,Andrew: Christ Huulphroy netted the final but not the least, assisted by Stevenson. Lucknow vs Drayton Drayton caught Lucknow unaware when they opened the scoring 30seconds into the first period. They did not enjoy this lead very long as Justin *Murray was eager to get it back and tied the game. Stevenson ,and. Andrew 'assisted. Drayton came back once more but left two -unanswered goals on the clock. Justin Murray and Stevenson were really hungry and netted one goal a piece PORTS assisted by each other with CuiUierier and Sproul. In the second period, Lucknow blew two more past Drayton. Stevenson netted the first assisted by Justin Murray and Stan Kikkert put the fifth in assisted by Stevenson and Andrew. Drayton tried once more and tine ran out on them when Chris Humphrey who was busy all day put the final and sixth goal past the Drayton net minder, • assisted by, Clint Murray and Matt Drennan. Luekuow vs Hillsburg This game' was the most exciting with the Lucknow team killing off penalties all night. Lucknow opened the scoring with a shot from Clint' Murray assisted by Stevenson, who had just stepped out of the penalty box. Humphrey also drew an assist Hillsburg managed to tie the game. :_ • Stan Kikkert did not want any .part in a tie game so he broke it assisted by Gibson and Justin Murray. Drennan took advantage of sloppy clearing by Hillsburg and put the third in assisted .by Humphrey 'and "Justin Murray. Sticklend poked away at the puck and finally put it under the Hillsburg net minder, assisted by Sproul and Justin Murray. Hillsburg scored while Lucknow as short two men, but Clint' Murray clinch- ed the game assisted by Humphrey. The quarter final was played Friday evening, 'December 29, but due to the holidays fur ther reading will not be available until next week.
