Short Termmj Jr. W.I. treats seniors The Lucknow Junior Women's Institute hosted their annual senior citizen's Christmas Party on the evening of December 7. This year, the big event was held in the Lucknow Town Hall since the hall has been renovated to include an en- trance with no stairs. Deidre Graham was MC for the evenings activities which included readings, music and a dramatization of the story "Mor- timer" which was much enjoyed by au- dience and participants alike. Some of the Lucknow area children entertained with singing, tap dancing and( instrumentals: Edith Webster played for and lead the carol singing and all enjoyed the round singing of old favorites. Lunch was served and a social time was enjoyed by all. The West Huron Junior Farmers, in conjunction with the Lucknow and District Co-op, sold tickets recently on a draw for a toy tractor and wagon. When the winning ticket was drawn last week, Laurence Hogan's name was on it. Laurence was on hand to col- lect his winnings when president of the Jr. Farmers, Audrey Ritchie (centre) made the presentation. Ralph Morrison (right) of the Co-op looks on. The proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to Children and Family Services.
