Brookside busy with Christmas
Primary news
Mrs. Cameron's Kindergarten 1 class
has been busy making Christmas tree
cards, Santa finger puppets and doves for
our Christmas tree. They are busy
celebrating our six December birthdays.
The Kindergarten 2 class has been mak-
ing Christmas ornaments to decorate their
room. They are making Christmas
booklets and have talked about the sounds,
smells, tastes and sights of the season.
Mrs. Graham visited Mrs. Ottewell's
grade 3 class on Wednesday to make bells,
balls and trees to hang as ornaments. On
Thursday they made Macaroon Cookies
with Mrs. Bieman and gave them to their
grade 7 reading buddies who are also busy
with Christmas activities.
The Room 4 Dinosaur Den now knows all
the secret frog potion ingredients. Their
• last clue was August. They found the clue
in Mrs. Scott's calender. Monday they will
try to bring the last ingredient. It's 10
cooked spaghetti worms. Yuck ! ! Will the
frog at last turn into a princess? They've
started Christmas Centres now. Crystal
Hickey is "Special Me" this week.

On Dec. 9, Mrs. Tebbutt's grade 6 class

it's time to add decorations. Some people
made cats, dogs, pigs, rabbits, birds,
giraffes and other animals, At Christmas,
they will break the pintas to get the candy
and. gifts from inside.
Grade 7, room 8, started Christmas cen-
tres. They cover shopping (math), evalua-
tion, literature and art. A short play is be-
ing prepared for a Christmas assembly
called "Twas the Night Before Christmas"
