had several shots on net but goalie Beuer-
man made the necessary stops to close the
second period with Brussels up two.
The third period produced some close
saves at both ends of the rink, and a lot of
activity in between.
Defenceman, Stuart Rintoul scored
unassisted at the 10 minute mark to make
the final score 3-2 for Brussels.
Coach Gerry Paolin pulled his goalie
Curt Humphrey with seconds remaining in
hopes of a tie. Lucknow applied the
pressure with the extra player but goalie
Beuerman made the moves and held onto
his team's lead. A game well played by
both teams, and maybe we'll meet again.
LUCKNOW NOVICE
Clifford vs Lucknow
Lucknow Novice was host to Clifford on
Saturday, Dec. 12.
The home town team was playing
without some of their regular players. As a
result, coaches Gerry and Steve found that
they had to change lines more frequently
than usual.
Lucknow's Lee Drennan earned himself
the hat trick scoring all three of his team's
goals. Assisting him on all three was Ben
Brophy, while Mark Kerr helped out on
one, and narrowly missed the net twice.
Clifford's lone goal was scored by Kent
deBruyn.
Lucknow played out of position at times
and the extra ice time tired them more.
Curt Humphrey and Graeme Hunter
shared the net -minding chores again to.
come up with a 3-1 win for Lucknow.
Lucknow Novice have won all regularly
scheduled games tolost their only
exhibition game against Brussels.
