Asking assistance
Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce are ask-
ing for assistance in the investigation of a
major break, enter and theft, at Markdale
Ford tractor, Hwy. 10, south of Markdale,
Ontario.
Markdale O.P.P. report that sometime
between August 22nd and 24th, 1987
unknown person(s) entered the Markdale
Ford Tractor building by cutting a 2'
square hole in the west wall. Once inside
person(s) responsible removed a large
number of tools. Articles stolen, 5" Makita
Grinder, 7" Black & Decker 'grinder, a
blue Hutchins sand blaster, a Hardi 2000
pressure washer, a '/i" Chicago pneumatic
air drill, as well as several other electric
and hand tools. It is believed the articles
were carried from the building to sideroad

120, to a waiting vehicle. The approximate
value of items stolen is $5,000.00, and
$300.00 damage to the building. The per-
sons) responsible have not been found.

The Annual Lucknow Carolfest was held late last week and once again, a capacity
crowd was on hand at the United Church to hear the sounds of the season. Performing
for the attentive audience was the South Kinloss Presbyterian Church Choir, the
Lucknow Community Choir, the Lucknow Presbyterian Church Choir, the Lueknow
United Church Choir, St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church Choir and the Lucknow

At the stockyard
At the Brussel's Stockyard this week, a
light supply of slaughter cattle sold on
good demand at prices fully steady to the
week's decline. Cows sold steady while
veal sold strong and pigs sold barely
steady.
There were 772 cattle, 610 pigs and 33
sheep and lambs on offer.
Choice steers sold 86 to 90 with sales to
94. Good steers sold 83 to 86.
Choice exotic heifers sold 85 to 88 with
sales to 89.50. Good heifers sold 83 to 86.
Choice cows sold 58 to 63 with sales to
66.50. Good cows sold 56 to 60 while canners
and cutters sold 50 to 55.
Light lambs sold up to 123 per pound
while heavy lambs sold to 105.
