Rev. Ray Grant of- ficiated the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lennips, Lucknow, while the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Laidlaw of Wingham. Standing up with Dorothy was maid of honor Evelyn Lennips of Kitchener with Thomas Foulon, Kitchener, acting as groomsman. Ushers for the ceremony in- cluded Henry Lennips, Wingham, and Henry Vanderveen of Hagersville. Virginia Todd of St. Helen's handled the duties of flowergirl while Phillip Bregman, all the way from Red Deer, Alberta, was the ringbearer for the couple. Following the ceremony, the bride and groom greeted guests at the Lucknow Legion. After a honeymoon to Simcoe, the happy couple have taken up residence in Elmira. Greg is a baker for Dutch Boy in Kitchener while Dorothy is a dental assis- tant in Elmira. (Jim -Laidlaw photo) 13 Annie C. Irwin Mrs. Annie C. Irwin of R. R. 5 Mitchell died at the Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, November 1, 1987 in her 85th year. She was the former Annie Cameron Purves and was born in West Wawanosh Township on June 24, 1903, a daughter of the late James Purves and the former Margaret Kennedy. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Mitchell. Surviving is a twin brother Leslie Purves of Lucknow, three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bolt, R. It- 5, Mitchell, Mrs. Urena Lyons, Huronview, Clinton and Miss Margaret Purves of Mitchell and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by thre brothers, Alex, Kenneth and Calvin and one sister Mary. At the -request -of the deceased, there was no funeral home visitation. Funeral services were held at the Lockhart Funeral, Home, Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Milne officiating. Pallbearers were Lloyd Moffatt, Ralph Jordon, Bill McLean, Bob Lyons, Arman Rais Firouz and Kevin Bolt. Internment in Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, Mitchell. Bette Brown Bette Brown of RR2 Lucknow, formerly of London, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 1987 in her 71st year. Bette Brown was the beloved wife of J. Stanley Brown and mother of Grayceann (Mrs. J.D. Durnin), Lucknow and J. Gor- don Brown and wife Barbara, London. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Max, Mike, Don, Kellie and Jason. There will be no visitaion or funeral ser- vice for the late Bette Brown. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foun- dation or to the Diabetic Foundation of Canada and will be appreciated and acknowledged by the family.
