Elderberry Pie
This fall the old elderberry bush at the
home farm yielded enough berries for a
couple of pies. We get several calls a
year for information on growing blueber-
ries and give the answer that it is almost
impossible to grow blueberries in Bruce
County.
In my opinion elderberries are superior
to blueberries in flavour so why not pick
some wild ones or plant some, improved
varieties that are available from nurseries
- and enjoy your pie.

Forage Testing and
Ration Formulation
If your cattle aren't gaining this winter.
maybe your hay is low in protein. Several
results have been low from this year's
crop. We can supply kits to forward
samples for analysis and also a free ration
formulation service for beef and dairy.
