Visitors to Nile United Church anniversary
Company in September and attending

Vodden of Londesboro.
Visitors with Lee Shetler reently were
her sister, Lorna and her husband Harvey
Cates of Sarnia and her brother Leonard
Snelgrove and friend Sophie of Sarnia.
Belated best wishes to Ken and Beth
Hodges on the occasion of their 45th wed-
ding anniversary on September 19.
The seniors are again busy planning for
their annual Thanksgiving Dinner, Friday,
October 9, settings at 7 and 9 p.m. Tickets
at the door or 529-7270.
Jim and Ruth McKenzie and children
spent a weekend in Cornwall recently
where they attended , a wedding of Ruth's
cousin.

Seniors' Centre euchre have been:

Foley and there were 14 tables.

September birthdays, Mary Schultz,
Frank Pentland, Hays Groen, John An-
drew, Ila Pollock, Carman Brindley, Greg
McKenzie, Jim McKenzie, Angie Woods,
K.K. Dawson, Maribeth Dawson, Mike
McNee and Jeffrey McNee.
Mel Jones who has been a patient in
Wingham Hospital is now making his
home at Dryden Manor, Lucknow, where
he would welcome visitors at any time.
Lee Shetler and Marie Park visited in
Peterborough for a couple of days last
week with Todd Park. He returned home to
Dugnanon with them on Friday. On Sun-
day Bill and Marie motored to Peter-
borough to return him home to attend
school on Monday.
Congratulations to the Nile Men's slo
pitch team on winning the 'A' champion-
ship against the Lanesville Lords in a
game played in Lucknow Sunday evening.
It was the fifth and deciding game. Con-
gratulations also to the Lucknow Kinsmen
who defeated Benmiller in three straight'
games to capture the `B' championship.
Sympathy is extended to Helen Dawson
and husband Kaye on the death of Helen's
brother, Ben Straughn on Saturday in his
72nd year. Interment was in Colborne
Cemetery on Monday.
Communion was held on Sunday a all

Charge. At Dunganon, Jim and nne
Pentland jointed the congregation and at
Nile, Wayne and Deb Caldwell were
welcomed. On October 13 the Youth Group
meet at Brookside and the Official Board
will meet at Dungannon Church. Mrs.
Kathy Curran has volunteered to assist
with the 23 girls in CGIT.
