Miss Lucknow 1987 entrants
These 12 young ladies, entered in the Miss Lucknow Queen of the Fair, made the task of the judges very difficult on Saturday
evening. Ron Hill, spokesman for the three judges, commented that it was very gratifying to see so many lovely entries from a
small area. Pictured front, left to right, Carol Rintoul, 1986 Queen of the Fair, Julie Clarke, Laurie Pentland, first runnerup,

- Mrs. John Mowbray was hostess to the
evening meeting of the South Kinloss
W.M.S. held on September 9 at the church.
Directors for the meeting were Mrs. Jack
Needham, Mrs. Jim Burt and Mrs. Allan
MacDougall.
President Mrs. MacDougall recited a
poem entitled 'A Church' to welcome those
in attendance.
Mrs. Needham shared her talent on the
piano as the group sang `Joyful, Joyful, We
Adore Thee'.
For the Bible study, Mrs. Needham mov-
ingly portrayed the lives of some of our
musical geniuses from the Hymn book
such as Beethoven, John Newton and Fan-
ny Crosby. All found this filled with in-
spiration. Mrs. John Forster and Mrs.
MacDougall graced all with the duet `In
the Garden' to conclude the study.
Prayer Circle included Mrs. Ray
Buchmeir, Mrs. Herb Buckton and Mrs.
Harry Lavis.-
Mrs. MacDougall followed roll call with
the study book dealing with India's
women. Better understanding was gained
and the hope for a brighter future for these
people is slowly surfacing.
The offering was followed by a prayer
from Mrs. Jim Burt and the secretary's
report was given and approved. The
treasurer's report and the Ladies Aid
report were heard and various business
matters dealt with.
The next meeting of the South Kinloss
W.M.S. will be October 7 starting at 8:00
p.m. and hosted by Mrs. Buckton at the
church.
Closing prayers were given by Mrs.
Keith and Mrs. Forster accompanied on
the piano as all sang 'All the Way My
Saviour Leads Me'. Fellowship and a light
lunch followed.
