Board members are in- vited to this event and are also reminded of the meeting on September 21 starting at 1:30 p.m. September 15 is also the day that marks the Centre's trip to the Stratford Festival. Staff and seniors alike are looking forward to seeing 'Much Ado About Nothing'. Marie deVos, one of the volunteers at the Centre, has agreed to show her slides of her recent trip to Europe. This will be en- joyed by all. The month of September also brings will it the opportunity for the Centre to do some fundraising. September 24 is the date set for an evening fundraising dance featuring `Gordon's Old Tyme Music'. Come out to the Armouries that night for an evening of dancing fun. With this month's news, let me leave you with this thought: "We can learn so much from those who are older. Perhaps the most important lesson they can teach us is that their growth is no different from our own. Growth only stops when we choose to stop it". You Can Vote Before Election Day! To begin, I would like to thank everyone at the Centre for a very enjoyable sum- mer. Seniors, staff and , volunteers have allowed me the chance to enjoy a summer of experience and fun. I will miss you all when I return to school. Once again, the Centre has booked two Foot Clinics. These will be held on September 3 and 16. Please call 357-1440 for an appointment. We have scheduled a week of film view- ing this month as well. `Louise at 99' will prove to be encouraging, I'm sure. It depicts the life of a very busy woman who is 99 years of age. It simply proves that age need not be a barrier to activities one wishes to be involved in. The Centre is looking forward to two special days with Mrs. Cathy Machan's class from the local high school. September 9 marks the day when they will be introduced to the Centre by viewing slides. September 23 is scheduled as a craft session with this class. These two days sound like informative and fun days. Because election day falls on Thursday, September 10, our regular program day has been postponed until September 11.
