Kingsbridge wedding
Van Osch - Halliday
Janice Arlene Halliday and Morris Peter
Van Osch were united in matrimony on Ju-
ly 4, 1987 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church,
Kingsbridge with Father Ed Dentinger of-
ficiating. Janice is the daughter of W. Earl
Halliday of R. No. 3, Chatsworth and
Shirley McInnis of R. No. 2, Owen Sound.
Morris is the son of Peter and Betty Van
Osch of R. No. 3, Lucknow.
Matron of honor was Dianne Snyder. of
R. No. 4 Owen Sound, a sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Mary -Ann Duynisveld,
London, Jackie Van Oseh, R. No. 3,
Lucknow, sister of the' groom and Jan
Engel of Mississauga. Sara Snyder, a
niece of the bride was flowergirl, while
Danielle Snyder also a niece of the bride,
acted as ring -girl. The grooms attendants
were two brothers, Brian and Jim Van
Osch, both of R. No. 3 Lucknow; Peter
Kolkman of Mitchell and Ron McTaggart
of Wiarton, who is a brother-in-law of
Janice.
A reception' for friends, relatives and
neighbours was held in the Lucknow
District Community Centre. Following
their honeymoon to Niagara -on -the -Lake,
the newlyweds have taken up residence in
Walkerton.

St. Peter's Anglican Church in Lucknow
was the site of a beautiful July wedding
between David Pritchard, son of Tom Prit-
chard of Goderich and Anne Pritchard of
Lucknow, and Sandra Irwin, daughter of
Ross and Beatty Irwin of Lucknow.
Rev. Merelyn Letson conducted the
ceremony on July . 11, 1987. Sandra's
Matron of Honor was Mrs. Patti -Lou
Vanderwoude, a sister of the bride from
Sebringville, Ontario, Bridesmaids includ-
ed Miss Shelley Button of Kitchener, a
friend" of the bride and groom and Miss
Cindy Nixon a friend of the couple from
Stratford.
Steve Atkinson of Lucknow acted as the
Groomsman while guests at the wedding
were ushered by brother of the bride Paul
Irwin of Kitchener and Wayne Pritchard of
Port Albert, uncle to the groom.
Following the ceremony and the ex-
change of vows, the wedding party moved
to the Lucknow Community Centre where
guests wished the couple well before they
left on their honeymoon to Nashville,
Tennessee.

Lawn wedding at home
LOUTHER-BOYLE
Corinne Marie Boyle and John William
Louther were married on Saturday, July 11,
at a lawn wedding at the home of the bride's
parents.
Corinne is the daughter of Francis and
Irene Boyle of RR 3, Ripley. John is the son
of Bill and Mary Louther of Walkerton.
Maid of honor was Kerry Boyle and
bridesmaids were Bonnie Boyle and
Heather Finnie, all sisters of the bride.
Bestman was Dan Louther, brother of the
groom. Ushers were Steve Lehman, cousin
of the groom, and Al Potts, friend of the
groom. Ringbearers were Anthony
Luminoso and Bill Atkinson, friends of the
bride and groom. Jessica Boyle and
Gabrielle Finnie, the bride's nieces, were
honorary flowergirls.
Rev. Bruce Aitken officiated. Soloist' was
Kevin Boyle, brother of the bride.
The dinner and reception were held at the
Ripley -Huron Community Center. Corinne'
and John are living in Walkerton.
Couple return
Sunday supper guests of Joyce and John
Farrell were Anne, Don and Dick McCosh,
Mary Anne Kokoly and Don Chartrand.
Mary. Anne and Don have returned to
Kitimat, B.C. after a month's visit with
relatives and friends in the area.
Marietta and Catherine McAuley spent
Wednesday with Tobi and Tanya Farrell.
There are some adorable, just -weaned
hound puppies on the 10th Concession who
are looking for homes!
Purple Grove W.I. are invited to the Ber-
vie Institute meeting to be held Wed. Sept. 2
at 8 p.m. The speaker is . Archie Gillies,
South Bruce Lakeshore Development Com-,
missioner. Please note that P.G. Institute
meeting is Wed. Sept. 9.
Johnnie and Marlene Collins, Dawn, Katie
and Jonathan have returned to Weldon,
Sask., after a holiday with Kay Collins. .
We send get well wishes to Janet Farrell
who is a patient in Kincardine District
Hospital.
Sunday supper guests with Norval and
Isabel Stanley were Betty, Art, and Jorey
Helm, Tiverton and Jessie Peter and Irene
Nelson, Wiarton.
Maureen Collins visited with her parents
in Arthur on Sunday. Jennifer has returned
home after spending the summer in Sterl-
ing, Ont. Sammy Howell, Orangeville, is
spending a few days with David Collins.
Congratulations to Angela Collins on pass-
ing her Grade 6 music exam.
Jim and Fran Farrell attended a celebra-
tion on Sunday in honour of Dorothy and Jim
Needham's 25th Wedding anniversary.

Get well wishes to Bert Thompson who
had harvesting accident on Saturday.

day with Jack Pollock, Goderich. On Sun-
day. they visited in Southampton with
Rhoda Ribey, and in Port Elgin with Mr.
and Mrs, Jack Cottrill. On Saturday even-
ing, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stanley, Lucknow,
and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnston, Mitchell,
visited with the Robertsons.

ed on Mrs. Lydia MacPherson, Catherine
MacPherson, and Audrey and Ed Linner all
of Goderich, on Sunday.
Hilda and . Harvey Thompson visited in
Barrie on Tuesday with Lauraine and Frank
Burgstaller. Tammy MacDonald, South
Porcupine, is holidaying with her grand-
parents. Wilda hosted the Bervie U.C.W.
meeting last Tuesday evening. The Thomp-
sons spent the weekend with Wray and Lin-
da Thompson, Mississauga. They also
'visited Roy and loris MacGregor,
Scarborough.
Don and Anne McCosh hosted a farewell
party on Friday evening for Mary Anne
Kukoly and her grandson Donnie
Chartrand.
Mary Anne Kukoly and Anne McCosh
spent a ,couple of days in Preston visiting
Kukoly relatives. On the way home, they
visited with Ruth Needham who is a patient
in University Hospital. Get Well wishes' to
you Ruth, from Purple Grove.
The McCosh's also visited with Largaret
McInnis, Teeswater, and Mr. and Mrs.
Gayle Haldenby, Armow.
Currie Colwell and his grandson Chris Col-
well, South Kinloss visited at the McCosh
trailer last week.
The Bible Study group met last Tuesday
at Alma Gillies.
Marj. and Aurel Armstrong hosted a'din-
ner party on Thursday evening. Their
guests were Gladys Arnold, Edna Fowler,
Don and Anne McCosh, Mary Anne Kukoly,
Irene and Francis Boyle, and Jim and Joyce
McEwan.
Don't forget the bus trip to Grand Bend,
Aug. 26. The bus leaves Purple Grove at 9:30
a.m.
Visitors .this week with Morley, Deanna
and Catherine Scott were Margaret Banner-
man, Kincardine, Jeanette and Christopher
Banks, Hanover and Frances Watke, Car-
rick Township.
