Shocked and stunned
The community was both stunned and
shocked on Sunday when it was learned of
the sudden passing of Florence
MacLennan.
The community would like to send its
very deepest sympathy to Rhetta MacLen-
nan and her family. Florence was 38 years
old and at the time of her passing away
was a nurse in St. Mary's Hospital in Kit-
chener. Florence had nursed also in the
Kincardine Hospital and for some. time
served with the ambulance there.
Florence is survived by her mother Rhetta
MacLennan, three sisters, Louise, Mrs.
Bruce Millar of Palmerston, Margaret
Morton of Point Clark and Marion of
Lochalsh and five brothers, Rod of Toron-
to, George of Agincourt, Jack of Stratfrod,
Finlay of Kincardine and Donald of Clin-
ton. She was predeceased by her father
Emile and two brothers, Eldon and Sandy
and a number of nieces and nephews.
Florence will be greatly missed by her
family and the many friends she collected
throughout her career. .
Mr. and Mrs. Art Matthewman enter-
tained friends from Walkerton, Chatham,
and Toronto on Saturday. They all
gathered at the home of Harry and
Dorothy Roulston of Point Clark . to com-
memorate their 45th nursing graduation
,from the Public General Hospital in
Chatham.
George, Andrea, Julie and Michael Mac-
Donald have moved from the MacDonald
farm to a home north of Kincardine.
Tom, Gloria, Thomas and Nicole Mac-
Donald have returned to their home in
Fort Nelson, British Columbia. Thomas
and Nicole had been with their grand-
parents, Finlay and Margie MacDonald
for a month.
Dianne McCutcheon of Lions Head spent
a few days holidays with her grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Robb. On
Wednesday Janice came down to her
parents' home to pick up her daughter and
take her home.
Callers on Thursday with Kae Webster
was her cousin Marion and her husband,
Jack Smith of Clinton.
Visiting recently with Clarence and
Elleda Irwin were Elleda's sister and her
husband George and Edith Dunseath of
Richmond Hill.
When talking to Mayme Wilkins she told
me there would be an auction sale at Bill
Wilkins on the 2nd of Huron Township on
Saturday, August 29, 1987 starting at 11.00.

Now that's farming in style. Casey Hendriks was dressed to the nines in an effort to
catch the judges eye during the antique tractor pull held in conjuction with Family
Fun Days in Dungannon . over the weekend. A variety of tractors from days gone by
coughed and sputtered their way along the track providing viewers with pure
entertainment.
