Debra had a wonderful opportuni- ty to tour London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, Strausbourg, Paris and Brighton while travelling with the Ontario Massed Legion Pipes and Drums. The highlight of the trip, Debra reports, was to play for the Queen Mother in Buck- ingham Palace. This was the first civilian band ever to march into the fore -court of the Palace in the long history of the Royal Family . In Amsterdam the band played a special concert at the Dutch Royal Palace and in Cologne, West Germany, the group travell- LUC KNOW ed to the Canadian War Cemetery and per- formed a Legion Memorial Service. From Cologne the group headed up the scenic Rhine River to Strausbourg, France. The Massed Band and the verterans did a special parade with the Canadian Armed Forces at the invitation of the Mayor of Lahr. The trip was a great experience for all and we are happy to hear of their safe Looking for a cool spot on a hot day, these ducks didn't wander too far from the shade of the trees overhanging the Lucknow River.
