HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Lucknow Sentinel, 1987-07-15, Page 3i Local Tractor Pull a roaring success Close to 4,000 spectators lined the hills overlooking the track this weekend for the Can -Am Tractor Pull held annually in Lucknow. With almost 100 tractors from across Canada and the United States vying for $20,000 in prize money, the two day event was one of thrills and excitement. Attendance for the sanctioned pull was down slightly over previous years, say organizors, due in part to the extreme heat but those who braved the sun came away more than satisfied with the action. A number of local drivers took top spots in the competition billed as "the most com- plete show in Western Ontario". Art Helm of Lucknow took second spot on `Ghost Buster' in the 5,200 Modified class and another second in the 7,200 Modified while the team of Tony Mittenberg and Peter Grazier on Spookie Ladie' took second in the 5,800 2WD class and tied for first and second with Rick Cunningham of Goderich in the 6,200 class. Congratulations to the winners and a tip of the hat to organizors for another fine weekend of pulling. Following are the final results in all classes: 6,000 Econo 1. SHURGAIN ISO ACID° DAIRY SUPPLEMENT (0% ECP) with 8.5% Eastman® Iso PIusTM Nutritional Supplement The volatile fatty acids in Shur -Gain's Iso Acid Dairy Supple- ment are used by rumen microbes to synthesize amino acids, resulting in an increased microbial population. These additional microbes improve digestion of feed and pro- vide more energy and protein to the cow. The result of this dual action is increased milk production from good cows which might otherwise have been deficient in volatile fatty acids. Better digestibility means more milk In summary, Shur -Gain Iso Acid Dairy Supplement helps cows get more nutritional value from the feed they eat.
