Lots of winners at
Sunday School picnic
Trinity Sunday School, Ashfield, held
their annual church service and picnic on
June 28.
Shauna Andrew was chairperson for the
church service.
The offering went to our foster child in
Hong Kong. It was received by Mac
Hackett and Eric Andrew.
The Junior Sunday School sang a
number with Ruth Alton playing the organ.
Rev. Williams had the children's sermon
on David and Goliath. Dennis Andrew as
chosen as `David' and Rev. Williams
played the roll of `Goliath'. This was both
an interesting and humorous presentation.
Don Hackett and Ivan Cranston
presented Rev. Williams, Tammy and
Christopher with a quilt as a farewell gift.
They are leaving for a charge in Hinton,
Alberta.

12:30 at Brookside School with a good
attendance.

Baby escapes injury
Dr. Bill Bergman of Kirkland Lake was
a Sunday caller on Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Emerson at Bray. Lodge. While in high
school, Bill worked with Victor on the
farm.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill McBurney of Ajax are
spending a few days with Mrs. Jean Tiffin.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Burg of Tavistock
were Sunday callers on Mr. and Mrs. Vic-
tor Emerson. The ladies met through the
Stratford Women's Institute Branch.
Communion is being held In the
Chalmers Presbyterian Church this
Sunday.
We are happy to report that those who
received slight cuts in the John beDoer ac-
cident have completely recovered.. The
baby in the accident escaped without in-
jury as it was the truck in the incident that
received most of the damage.
Mr. and Mrs. John deBoer attended a
family reunion in Goderich on Sunday.
Visitors on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E.
Beecroft were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Beecroft and Ken and Glen Simmamon of
Wingham.
Mrs. Agnes Farrier, Mrs. Norma Rin-
toul and Bill Purdon are ones enjoying
European tours now with Bill Uuldrick ex-
pected home from Holland next week.
