The Lucknow Kinsmen and Kinette
Clubs would like to thank all of the ball
players, merchants and fans who par-
ticipated in the week long Summerfest.
They would especially like to thank all of
the volunteers who helped in umpiring,
scorekeeping, manning the bars and food
booths. Without their help the Kinsmen
and Kinette clubs would not be able to
stage this annual event, due to their club
size.
The Kinsmen hope to hear before the end
of June concerning a possible grant from
the Ontario Government, regarding the in-
stallation of lights and a fence at the
Lucknow Kinsmen Community Park. The s
club would still have to come up with two
thirds of the projected $28,000 to $30,000
expense.
Upcoming projects include organizing
the parking at the Lucknow Tractor Pull
on July 11 and 12.
