New Lucknow residents welcomed

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Snell of Thornhill
have recently moved to the Ashton apart-
ments on Lucknow. Paul is employed by
Longhorn Distributors in Lucknow.
The grdae 8 students at LCPS left Tues-
day morning June 9 on a four day trip to
Ottawa returning Friday evening June 12.
Those that went as chaperones were Mr.
and Mrs. Ian Thomas, and Mr. Pike.
The grade 7 students at LCPS took a trip
to Midland on Friday, June 12 leaving
Lucknow at 8 a.m. and returning in the
evening.
Dave and Isobel MacDonald of Wingham
have recently purchased the home of Peter
MacDonald on Campbell Street and will be
moving to their new home the end of this
month.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Steve
Errington who were married June 6.
Nora and Gordon Saunders and Ed and
Violet Thompson spent the weekend of
June 6 in Button near London where on
Saturday they joined Lloyd and June
Saunders to celebrate their 40th wedding
anniversary.
We send our deepest sympathy t0 a
number of families in the area who lost a
loved one: the families of the late Mrs.
William Eadie, the Glenn families on the
passing of Mrs. Frank Glenn, the Cooke
families on the passing of Mrs. Chris
Cooke, the McKendrick families on the
passing of Mrs. McKendrick, and to Don
Chadbourne on the passing of his mother.
A number of get togethers were held in
the area of Sunday. A birthday party was
held at the home of Joan and Charlie
Murry for Lymon Sutton who was
celebrating his 80th birthday.
Helen and Ross Forster joined Helen's
mother, Mrs. Bannerman, at the Kinloss
Hall on No. 9 highway with relatives and
friends to celebrate her '15th birthday.
Pearl Sutton and her daughter Jean and
son David of Ottawa visited on Saturday
with Donna and Gary Sutton and family.
Catherine MacLeod held - a surprise
shower for Ann Lippert, wife of Ed Lip-
pert, at the home of Ed's mother,
Geraldine Schlosser, where friends,
neighbours and relatives joined in. A
number of games were played and
Catherine read an address to Ann before
she opened her many lovely and useful
gifts. Brenda Lippert, Ann's maid of
honor, asisted Ann.
Congratulations to Mrs. Greta Slewart of
the Aston Apartments. She celebrated her,
95th birthday on Saturday with her
families, Bill Stewart and family and the
Jack Ceaser family of Dungannon.
Church celebrates anniversary
South Kinloss Presbyterian Church
celebrated their 131st Anniversary on Sun-
day with Rev. Freda and Rec. Graham
MacDonald as guest ministers. They are
from Burke Falls.
Sunday dinner guests with Muriel and
Frank MacKenzie were Mrs. Jean Baulche
and Margaret Baulche of Barrie, Bill and
Stewart Baulche of . Toronto, Rennie
Graham and Peter and Ann Cruickshank,
all of Toronto.
Sympathy is extended to the Eadie fami-
ly on the death of Mrs. Bill Eadie.
Evan and Margaret Keith were hosts to
a family reunion when 48 relatives and
friends gathered at their home on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Allan Graham visited Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Graham and
Jodie and attended open house at Darl-
ington Nuclear Plant where Jamie is
employed. They also visited daughters
Burnell and Bruce Estabrook and, Mike
and Martha Seguin of Toronto.
