The crew of the Three Buoys Houseboat

The family of the late Ina Eadie wish to ex-

Residents attend festival
Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs.
Lorne Eadie and family in the death of
Mrs. Ina Eadie, after a lengthy illness. The
funeral was on Friday afternoon in
Lucknow.
Miss Norma Coutts of Wingham visted
on Tuesday with Edna and May Boyle.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald McEwan visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Morley Bushell at
Wingham on Saturday evening last.
Folks from here attended the Lucknow
Presbyterian Church strawberry supper
on Thursday evening, as well as the an-
niversary services on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Blair Christensen and
Tanya of Montreal, Mr. and Mrs. Don
Christensen and Janine of Milton spent the
weekend here at the manse with their
parents, Pastor and Mrs. M. Christensen
and on Sunday at the morning Pentecostal
Church service, Blair favoured with a
lovely solo.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Page visited on the
weekend in Toronto with Dr. and Mrs. Im-
an Mohamed and the boys. Joan had a
medical appointment early Monday morn-
ing in the city.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan McInnes of Blyth
visited friends here on Sunday.

daughter of Doug and Donalda McLeod of
Vanastra.
Joe and Irene West and sons of Stratford
were weekend visitors with her parents
Derk and Tinie Logtenberg.
Visiting Roger and Elsie Pannabecker
this past week were her father Simon
Schroeder of Abbotsford, B.C., her sisters
Susan Bartsch of Williams Lake, B.C., and
Verna Regier of Abbotsford, B.C. and her
aunt Susan Klippenstein of Altona,
Manitoba. They all attended the Dyck -
McLeod wedding at Clinton with reception
at Saltford Valley Hall. Brian Dyck was
groomsman , for his father Allan. The
Errington-Pannabeker families were also
guests at the wedding.
On Sunday afternoon, a surprise 30th an-
niversary get together was held for Derk
and Tinie Logtenberg. Family and friends
gathered from Guelph, Lucknow, Ripley,
Bluevale, Stratford and Goderieh areas.

Lloyd and June Saunders, RR 3 Dutton,
were pleasantly surprised at a dinner held
in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary
at the Black Angus Restaurant, London.
A bus brought family and friends from
Goderich, Lucknow, Wingham, Bluevale,
Belgrave, Ethel and . London. Other
friends attended from Glencoe, Chatham
and Dutton area.
After dinner the group . returned to the
home of Lloyd and June's daughter and
son-in-law, Nancy and Ken Mott, RR 2
Dutton.
Occupation: poet. One might think that
few people would report that they work-
ed in the arts when filling out a ques-
tionnaire. However, Statistics Canada
tells us that at the time of the 1981 Cen-
sus, nearly 280,000 Canadians stated
that they were working in occupational
categories associated with the arts.
