Congratulations to Derek and Tinie
Logtenberg on the occasion of their 30th
wedding anniversary on June 8. They
have a family of six - Fran Farrell, Jerry,
Irene West, Simon, Ken and Melissa.
A further correction on the Seniors
euchre tournament. It is to be held Mon-
day, June 15 at 8 p.m. at the centre, not the
fifth as printed last week.
Mr. Ron Van Horne, Minister for Senior
Citizens Affairs, was guest speaker at the
United Senior Citizens of Ontario Zone 33
Spring Rally held at the Lucknow Legion
on May 24. Ron is a nephew of Colleen
Eedy of the village.
Congratulations to Milne and Judy
Gregory on the occasion of their 25th an-
niversary which they celebrated Saturday
evening at the Dungannon Agriculture
Hall. They have a family of four - Dan,
Debbie, Donna and Dennis.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Henderson and sons
Brian and Darryl visited area relatives
over the weekend and attended the
Errington -Talton wedding in Lucknow on
Saturday. -
Elmer and Aileen Tromrner have
returned from a three-week visit to British
Columbia with their children, Bill in Cran-
brook and daughter Connie in Fort
McMurray.
Dianne Park and her senior Sunday
school class camped at Donnybrook Park
for the weekend. eventeen enthusiastic
members enjoyed: e camping activities.

Mrs. Karen Roberts and son Robbie are
visiting with her mother, Mrs. Vivian Earl
in Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Earl plans a trip
to Melbourne, Australia for a visit to her
homeland following her convalescence.

The 1987-88 officers of Lucknow Branch 309 of the Royal Canadian
Legion were installed June 2. They are, in the front (left to right) :
Delores Cross (ex: committee), Henry Clark (first vice-president),
George Anderson (president), Bill Adamson (second vice-
president), and Leonard Clark (past president). In the back row,
Weaver, entertained friends and relatives
at their home in honor of their 25th wed-
ding anniversary on Saturday, June 6.
Their family of three, Barry, Carol ANne
and Sherry, joined in the celebration.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Roberts, ' Plymouth,
Illinois, are visiting with their son Rev.
Roberts and children at the United Church
Manse.

Tom and Verna Hallam of Auburn called
on her mother, Gertie Park, on Sunday
afternoon.
There were 13 tables of euchre at . the
Seniors Centre on Wednesday evening.
High lady was Bertha Oko . Deloris
Culbert won the cut between he and Jean
Phillips for low lady. Low man was Jim
Errington.
Balloon found in a field \
leads to letter from woman
A few weeks ago Hary Livingston found
a balloon in his field with the name of
Beatrice Walsh of Autumnwood Home,
Deckerville, Michigan. Pat wrote a letter
back telling where the balloon had been
found and a little about their own family.
This past week, Mrs. Walsh wrote back,
very pleased at receiving the letter. She is
81 -years -old and although her home is in
Harbor Beach, due to poor health she is
now at Autumnwood Home. Mrs. Walsh
does have some cousines in Petrolia. She
was the first and only one to date to have
received
wordn where wh a her balloon
landed.
Sandra and Frank Parkinson and girls of
Guelph visited May 31 weekend with San-
dra's mother, Grace Hopf, and they all en-
joyed supper at the park between Hanover
and Nuestadt with Grace's mother and
other members of the family.
Ron and Edna Alton and David and Bet-
ty Kirkland went on a wagon ride at Eric
and Diane Drennan's at the Nile. There
were eight wagons and seven riding

horses. They returned to the Drennans for
a barbeque supper on Sunday.

the misfortune to get run over by one of the

and the horse bolted. He was taken to Kin-
cardine hospital where he was kept for
observation. There were four wagons that
took a tour and went camping for the
weekend including Amelda and Leo ,Mur-
ray, Nancy and Gerald Murray, Grace and
Weir Eckenswiller, Sharon and Rodger
Cuillerier along with members of their
families.
Congratulations to Karen Binder and
Grant Murry who were married on Friday.
WHITEHEAD - Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie
Whitehead of Wingham are pleased to an-
nounce the birth of their daughter, Vic-
toria Michelle Elaine, 7 lbs. 5 oz., on May
30 at Wingham District Hospital. A sister
for Nicolle and Nolan. Wingham.
HOGG - Janet Hogg of RR 1 Wroxeter is
pleased to announce the birth of her son,
Steven Andrew Ryan, weighing 6 lbs. 9 oz.
on May 31 at Wingham District Hospital.
ROBB - Allen and Marilyn's lives have
been enriched by the birth of Lori
Elizabeth on June 1 weighing 9 lb. 11 oz.
This special little girl was born in
Wingham and District Hospital and was
also welcomed with 'much joy by loving
first time grandparents, George and Flora
Beaton and Frank and Louise Collar, all of
