Harvey Alexander MacDougall
Harvey Alexander MacDougall, of
Bayfield, died at University Hospital in
London on Monday, May 25 at the age of 82.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 4, 1905,
he was the son of the late Roderick. Mac-
Dougall and the former Rose Smith. His
wife, the former Doris Soden of Bayfield,
survives.
Mr. MacDougall was employed with Co -
Operators Insurance as Divisional
Manager until his retirement. He was a
member of St. Andrew's United Church in
Bayfield.
Surviving besides his wife are: sister
Blanche ( Mrs. Jack Needham) of
Lucknow; brother Lloyd._ MacDougall of
Lucknow; and Clair MacDougall of
Mississauga. Five nieces and two
nephews and several grandnieces and
nephews also survive.
Mr. MacDougall was predeceased by
one brother Russell of Wells, B.C., and his
parents.
Visitation was held at the MacKenzie
and McCleath Funeral Home in Lucknow
on Tuesday, May 26. A memorial service
from St. Andrew's United Church in
Bayfield was held on May 27 with Rev. J.
Hoekstra of St. Andrew's United Church in
Bayfield officiating. Interment in South
Kinloss Cemetery.
Clara (McQuillin) Thomas
Clara Thomas died on Saturday, May 30
at the Greater Niagara General Hospital,
Niagara Falls, at the age of 87.
She was the wife of the late Dr. William
Thomas, D.D.S.; dear mother of William
and his wife June of Niagara Falls; grand-
mother of Janet and her husband Sam
DiMartino of Niagara Falls, Sharon and
her husband Vito Finucci of London, Barb
and her husband Luc Belleville of Niagara
Falls; great grandmother of Brittany
Christina Finucci; sister of Mrs. Verna
Myers of Virgil and the late Margaret.
MacPherson.
The funeral service was conducted from
the Morse and Son Chapel of the Morgan
Funeral Homes, 5917 Main Street, Niagara
Falls on Tuesday, June 2. Interment in
Fairview Cemetery.
Phoebe Anne Stanley (Hodgkinson)
Phoebe Anne Stanley (Hodgkinson) of
Meadow Park Nursing Home in London
died at St. Joseph's Hospital in London.
She was in her 80th year.

of Goderich. She is also survived by 11
grandchildren, several great-
grandchildren and several great -great-
grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one' brother
Gordon Hodgkinson in 1985.
The funeral service was held on Monday,
May 18 at the MacKenzie and McCreath
Funeral Home with Rev. M. Christenson
officiating.
Interment was at the Greenhill
Cemetery, Lucknow.
LOTTIE COURTNEY
Lottie Courtney, a resident at Brucelea
Haven for 10 years, and formerly of Kincar-
dine and Huron Township, passed away at
the Haven in Walkerton on Tuesday, May 26,
1987.
Born in Thessalon in the Algoma District,
on August 6, 1891, she was the daughter of the
late James Reid and Annie Carver.
She married the late Archie Courtney of
Huron Township on November 24, 1920, at.
Lucknow.
She is survived by her children Leonard
Courtney of Point CIark, Robert Courtney of
Point Clark and Geraldine McLeod of
Kincardine.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren
and 14 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by one brother Robert
Reid of Lucknow.
She was predeceased by her husband Ar-
chie Courtney in 1966, an infant son, four
grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.
The funeral was held May 29 at the Davey-
Linklater Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Nor-
man Perry of the Kincardine United Church
officiating.
Flower bearers were grandsons Cameron
Courtney, Paul Courtney, Michael Courtney
and Randy McLeod.
Pallbearers were grandsons Larry Court-
ney, Ian Courtney, Dennis Courtney, Pat
Courtney, Eric A. McLeod and Gary R.
McLeod. Interment in Kincardine Cemetery.
