Mixed Bowling League held its annual banquet on April 1 at the Anglican Parish Hall. The season's champs this year were the "Chipmonks". (Pat Livingston photo) 4-11 club tours gas. station recently By Tanya Turner The fourth meeting of the St. Helen's Super Survivors was held at Lila Rintoul's home on March 21 at 9:30 a.m. The members were taught how to iron, and do laundry properly. A laundry quiz was given and an activity which involved co-operation was done by all the members. They also discussed which methods of dry- ing clothes was best. The members then travelled into Lucknow to Howard Neable's gas station and garage. He showd everyone how to change a tire and how .to properly operate booster cables. He also demonstrated how to change the oil and discussed all parts of the automobile. All the different kinds of transportation were discussed. The members also discussed how much it would cost to drive to Toronto -and also how much it costs each of us to get to the meeting. The leaders asked all the members if they could do many types of repairs for the upkeep of a car or bicycle. The members were then asked to plan a month-long trip,,to Alaska including the costs of all the types of transportation us- ed, food, motels, gas, tours, and other assorted expenses.
