Presbyterian SMS has guests for thank offering
The Lucknow Presbyterian WMS held
their thankoffering meeting in the church
hall on April 28. Guests came from the
Ashfield, Kinlough, South Kinloss and
Whitechurch Societies accompanied by
some husbands.
The Evening Auxiliary planned the
meeting and Mrs. William Henderson
presided. The call to worship was a quota-
tion which assured us that "He is alive for
evermore."
A hymn was sung. A timely devotional
was given by Mrs. Frank Hawthorne.
After reading from the Gospel of Mark,.
she pointed out that just as the stone was
rolled away from the entrance to the tomb
on that first Easter morning, Christ lives
now to help us remove the stones from our
