Websters tour Niagara Falls
on return trip from Ohio
On the Easter weekend, Jim and Cecil
Webster of Waterloo took their mother Kae
Webster to visit with Atlee, Jean and
Tricia Wise of Richfield, Ohio.
Kae remained there for a week with
Cecil and Jim returning to Ohio the follow-
ing weekend to pick up their mother.
The Websters returned home via
Niagara Falls. While ithere, they visited a
few museums, gift shops and rode up in the
tower to get a closer look at the falls, the
whirlpools, the monuments of both Laura
Secord and Sir Isaac Brock and many
more interesting things.
On the trip up from Richfield to Niagara
Falls, they found the countryside very in-
teresting, but seemed to be very poor
farmland. In New York State, the farmers
seemed to be growing lots of grapes.
It ,was all very interesting, but this cor-
respondent still thinks there isn't any
place like Canada!
It is so nice to know that Rhetta MacLen-
nan will be returning home for good from
Owen Sound hospital where she had been a
patient for a couple of weeks.
Florence MacLennan and Shirley of Kit-
chener were home on the weekend.
Recent visitors with Betty, Barry and
Sharlene Jones were.Sherry Jones and Jim
Bullard of London and Mr. and Mrs. Ted
Millen, also of London.
The community would like to con-
gratulate Mike and Debbie Courtney on
their recent marriage.
A Poem
When you are feeling down and out
And just a little blue,
It isn't wise to sit about -
And moan the whole day through.
Just try to be more cheerful, for .
you'll find it well worthwhile,
So count your blessings o'er and o'er -
And try to wear a smile.
