The Lucknow Boy's basketball team was
ready for the Regional tournament held in
Ripley. Lucknow would play four games
on this day.
The first game was against Ripley and
Lucknow won 10-9. The boys second game
was versus Huron Heights and in a fast
paced game Huron Heights defeated
Lucknow 14-11.
Lucknow's third game was against W.E.
Thompson, and Lucknow were the victors
14-10. For Lucknow'sfinal game they fac-
ed Elgin Market. Lucknow ,prevailed and
won 16-14, but because Huron Heights won
all their games, Lucknow picked up the
consolation pennant, thus they went to
County Finals.
Lucknow did not do as well though, we
lost all three games but by close scores.
Thanks to everyone.

House Leagues! What's that? Is it a new
baseball team for the Lucknow school?
For all those questions here is the answer.
At the beginning of our school year, we
had a meeting in the gym. We were told
that we were going to be split up into four
colour groups by the names of : gray; my
colour group, green,. blue and yellow. The
whole school was then told where to go and
what colour group they were on.
In these groups we are to work for house
points. These points add up and up and at
the end of the year the winners are the
group with the most points.
Around Christmas we had to dress up in
houseleagues
our house colours. It was a great success.
After Christmas the yellow. house had a
meeting and they changed from yellow to
red. Green started as the lead colour but
then along came the blue house.
Right now the house leagues are in this
order in week 14; 1st blue with 3,165, 2nd
gray with 2,641, 3rd green with 2,556 and
last but not least red with 2,555 points.
The house leagues have been a big suc-
cess. The house league games have en-
couraged participation for many students.
Keep on getting those points!

Summer
hockey
Last Summer I went up to Wasaga
Beach to try out for the Georgian Bay
Selects triple A hockey team. It was
scheduled to have, three try outs but there
were so many kids it took seven. Justin,
Chris, Terry° and I tried out. One of the
four, Terry was cut.
It cost two hundred dollars to play but
we were sponsored so it didn't cost my
family anything.
We had a game and a practice every
week and we played in five tournaments.
We won two tournaments and got into the
finals. We were the second best team in the
league. A team called Central, from Cen-
tral Ontario was better.
It was a summer well worth the money
and the time.

Volleyball
team
This year's volleyball season was a suc-
cess. Both the girls and boys teams prac-
ticed hard, and it paid off.
The girls weren't as successful as the
boys, but represented our school well.
However the boys made up for that in their
tournament. They were the runners-up in
the South West Bruce Regional Tourna-
ment that was held on February 5th. They
then were able to compete in the Bruce
County Tournament that was held on
February 8th in Port Elgin. The boys
weren't able to win the championship, but
represented our school very well.

The night before Easter
T'was the night before Easter
And all through the house
Not a person was moving
Not even a mouse
While I was all nestled and snug in my bed
Visions of Chocolate was in my head
When all of a sudden I heard a big THUMP
I sprang out of bed and fell on my rump
When what to my wondering eyes should
appear
But a "Big Baby Bunny" a twitching it's
ear.
Standing there with a white belly and
basket
I went over to ask it....
"Why are you here, a twitching your ear?"
"It's easy as pie" he soon replied
"For I am the GREAT EASTER BUNNY"
"Don't be so funny, there is no Easter
Bunny"
"But how could that be for he, is me."
"O.K. O.K. Mr. Easter Bunny, What are
you going to leave here for me?"
"I can't tell your Easter Prize," He said
"For tomorrow it's supposed to be a
surprise.
So I went back to bed
Shaking my head
Layed down flat...
Right on my back
And went back to dream about
"Chocolates."
