The Monday Night Ladies bowling league wound up their season with a banquet • at the

Sympathy extended to families
Sympathy is extended to the Murray
families on the death of their aunt, the late
Miss Margaret Murray, daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Murray of
Westford.
Margaret resided in Montreal in winter
and would return to the family farm home
in Westford each summer where she and
her dear friend Miss - F. Bartlett enjoyed
the country together. In later years,
Margaret was a resident at St. Joseph's
Villa, Dundas Ontario.
She is survived by her sister Agnes,
(Sister, Mary Patrick.)
The remains rested at the McPherson
Funeral Home at Teeswater until Wednes-
day morning when the funeral Mass was at
the Riversdale Roman Catholic Church
with burial at the Holyrood Cemetery in
the family plot.
WI Euchre
The Holyrood Women's Institute had
another nice social evening and card party
at the Holyrood Hall on Monday evening
last. Prizes for high scores went to Mrs.
Wanda Gowley and Matt Rhody, while the
lucky player's were Mrs. Verna Finlayson
and Norval Pollock.

Visitors with Edna and Mary Boyle
devising the week were Mrs. Elizabeth
Fair, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott of Ripley
and• Mrs. Kay Thacker, South Line and Mr.
and Mrs. Clare Sparling of Walkerton on
Good Friday, and Mrs.. Jean Hodgins and
Miss Norma Coutts of Wingham • on
Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ormond of Milton
spent the Easter weekend here with Pastor
and Mrs. M. Christensen.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom McDonald and Mrs.
Frank Maulden were dinner guests on
Good Friday with Rev. and Mrs. D.
MacDonald.
Dr. and Mrs. Iman Mohamed, Michael,
Adam and David of Toronto spent Easter
here with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Page and Mr.
and Mrs. Andrew Page of Concession 10.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom McDonald of here and
her father Mr. Joseph Guest and his room-

Walkerton were dinner guests for Easter
at Paisley with Mrs. 'Essie Bloomfield.
Mrs. Audrey Borthwick of St. Catharines
spent Easter with Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Hodgins and other relatives.
So glad that Mrs. Bertha Haldenby was
able to return home after surgery at
University Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. George Barrell of Toronto
spent Easter with Mr. and Mrs., Jim
Haldenby and Mr. and Mrs. David Halden-
by and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Madere of Niagara -
Falis visited on Good Friday with Mrs.
Agnes Hodgins.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Stanley returned
home from their western trip.
Bobbi -Jo Nicholson of Wallaceburg en-
joyed a holiday with her grandpa and
grandma Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson
here and at Kincardine with Lois.
Tammy Hodgins of Glencoe spent
Easter with her parents Mr.and Mrs. Jim
Hodgins.
Lindell Cross of London spent Easter
with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ron Cross
and Michelle.
Mr. and Mrs. George Bushell, David and,
Janet of Ottawa visited with his parents
Mr. and Mrs. Edbert Bushell.
Mr. and Mrs. Mel King of Georgetown
and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Nicholson and
family of Wallaceburg spent the Easter
weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson
and Lois at Kincardine.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burt and Mrs. Frank
Maulden visited on Sunday evening with
Mr. and Mrs. John Scott at Ripley.
4-H swine club holds meeting
The first meeting of the Ripley/Kincar-
dine 4-H Swine Club was held on Thursday,
Apr. 23 at the home of Ken and Brenda
Bridge.
Dr. Ken Bridge of the Ripley area and Ir-
win Evans of Tiverton will be leading this
club. Elections were held and Garry Stein
has assumed the position of president. Dave
Schuler is vice-president and John Stein will
be secretary.
This year the club will focus on nutrition.
The first meeting covered the history of the
pig, the various strains of stock and breed
improvements, the introduction of the pig
into North America, and members also
discussed the different parts/components
that help make a food complete.
There is still time to join this club and
anyone interested is asked to call Dr. Bridge
at 395-5911 or 392906.
The next meetng will be held on Thursday,
May 8 at the home of John and Sharon Stein
of R.R. 1 Holyrood.
