Couple enjoy Florida vacation
Mr. and Mrs. Art Matthewman have
returned home after spending the winter in
Reddington Shores, Florida.
They found it damp down there and they
found it very hard to get their usual winter
tan. But, on the whole, it was a lovely
winter. While in the south, their daughter
and son-in-law Marg and Terry Pettis of
Prescott presented them with another
grandson, Matthew, a wee brother for
Jamie and Beau.
Charles and Mayme Wilkins had all their
family home with them for the weekend.
On Friday evening, Jim Webster of

Waterloo came home and took tother,

Kae Webster back to the city a couple
of days. There, she visited with Bob and
Elsie Zarnke, also of Waterloo.
On Saturday afternoon, Kae, Jim and
Cecil Webster attended the circus at the
Kitchener Auditorium. The circus was
really good. it was really hard to say what
portion of the event was the best - it was all
so good.
Cecil brought Kae home and on Sunday
they visited with Clarence and Elleda
Irwin.
Purple Grove, couple enjoy Toronto trip

Bette McLeod has grandson Robert
visiting with her while his parents are vaca-
tioning in Barbados. Bette and Robert
visited with Freda arid Dave Owen of Lon-
don for a couple of days. On Wednesday,
Bette and Robert enjoyed a bus trip to the
Toronto Flower Show which was sponsored,
by the Ripley Horticultural Society.
Norval and Isabel Stanley visited with
Norval's sisters, Edith Pederson and Helen
Smith, in London on Thursday, Apr. 9.
On Saturday night, Donald and Sandra
Forster and family enjoyed supper with
Donald and Lillian Pollard of Ripley.

Forsters.
Get well wishes are extended to Bert
Thompson from all his " friends and
neighbours in the Purple Grove area.
Aurel and Marj Armstrong attended a
concert in Mount Forest on .Saturday night.
Aurel and Marj were looking forward to
hearing The Ballagh Boys from Teeswater
sing and play.
Ken and Brenda Bridge enjoyedthe
southline card party which was hosted by
Gordon and Norma Stewart on Saturday
night. Ken and Brenda also had a nice visit
with their friends, Philip and Anne Andres
and family, of Tiverton_ on Sunday
afternoon.
Katherine Collins, Sandra McGillivray,
Kelly and Kristy, and Margie Lochhead,
Shanna and Rachel all attended a family
shower for Nicole Caron which was held at
Doreen Young's. Nicole is engaged to David
Young.
