Grove W1 meets at BNPD
The Purple Grove Women's Institute held
its annual meeting at the Bruce Nuclear
Power Development on Wednesday, Apr. 1.
Everyone enjoyed a hot lunch before the
meeting began. Nominations were held and
the new officers installed. New President is
Janet Farrell. A film about the Bruce
Nuclear Development was then shown and
everyone enjoyed a bus tour of the plant.
On Saturday, Apr. 4, the Bruce County
Holstein Club held its annual barn meeting
at the farm of Jim and Fran Farrell. Ap-
proximately 85 people were in attendance.
The speakers were Len Weber who discuss-
ed Calf Raising and Paul Meyer from the
Holstein Office who conducted an exercise
in classification. Door prizes were donated
by local businesses and a social time was en-
joyed by all.
Melissa Logtenberg visited with Jim and
Fran Farrell on Saturday.
Deanna and Morley Scott were visitors
with Maureen and Roy Collins on Sunday
night. •
June and Earl Elliott have returned home
from Pine Island, Florida. June mentioned
the weather was great and they had a good
time. Welcome home!

Thursday afternoon to see some quilts Rita
had been making.
Sheena and Andrew MacDonald, Angela

play entitled "Little Women" which was
held at the Ripley District School on Thurs-
day, March 26th, 1987.
Francis and Irene Boyle flew out west on
Friday to visit with their daughter Kerry.
Marj Thompson spent a few days out at
the farm with her son Bert. John D. Colling,
Mike and Mitch spent Sunday with Grand-
ma Marj. .
Paul and Nancy Greenwood enjoyed sup-
per with John and Joyce Farrell and family
Sunday night. Happy Birthday Paul! Bran-
dy Davies visited with Tobi Farrell on Fri-
day and Tanya visited with her friend in
Point Clark, Rachel Brubacher.
