with a 392 and her singles were 197 and 195.
Jean Phillips rolled the high single with 235
and her double was 362. Second was Fern
McDonald with a single score of 227 and a
double of 389. Marie Park was third with a
290 and 361.
Harry Lavis bowled the high double for
the men with a 396 and his single was 214.
Bill Henderson captured the high single of
217 and his double was 379. The second
high double was by Ronnie McQuillin with
a 387 and singles of 197 and 190. Ab Morton
was there too with a single of 201.

The increase in unemployment has
been particularly noticeable among young
people according to Statistics Canada. The
unemployment rate for men under the age
of 25, rose from over 12 percent in 1975 to a
peak of over 22 percent in 1983, then declin-
ed to just over 18 percent in 1985. Among
women in the same age group, unemploy-
ment increased from over 11 percent in
1975 to 17 percent in 1983, before declining
to under 15 percent in 1985.
