Ken and Ella Baker of Meaford and Fred and Melita Edwards visited John and Joyce Farrell and family. Lorraine Kerr was in charge of catering the CIL Dinner in Ripley on Tuesday. Visiting last week with Wanda Gawley were Marlene Greig, Velma Chadbourne and Gladys Johnston. Kathy and Jared Martin of Kitchener spend a few days last week with Jack and Janet Farrell. Guests of Donald and Sandra Forster and family were Joyce Farrell and girls for din- ner Tuesday and Evan and Margaret Keith of South Kinloss for dinner Friday. Don and Tiny Robertson visited Mr. and Mrs. Clarence MacDonald in Brantford on Sunday. Laura Farrell showed the spring line of Weekender clothing on Wednesday evening at Debbie Armstrong's. The south -line card patty was held Satur- day evening at Mark and Ann Stewart's. Congratulations to the Ripley Old Timers who won the trophy at a tournament in Montreal. Katherine Collins, Harvey and Betty Needham and Helen Ann returned home from holidays in Fort McCoy, Florida. Don and Anne McCosh and Currie Colwell visited Mr. and'Mrs. Wesley Bridge in Fern- dale on Saturday. Gladys Arnold and Don and Anne McCosh attended the Sunday supper at Kinloss com- munity centre. Family has new addition Congratulations to Denise and Grant Gilchrist on the arrival of their daughter. The Ripley Old Timers Hockey team 'did it again! This time they went to Montreal to play for the World Cup and came home winning the consolation trophy. The team won a draw for $10,000 and two of the team won a draw of $1000 each. From this area Barry Johnston, Bruce Skillen, Gert de Jong and Art Stanley played on this team. Congratulations guys - keep up the good work! Andrew Johnston visited last week with Betty and.. Greg Welsh and Cameron of Kingston. Lyndon Johnston and Scott Allan went W Montreal to watch the Ripley Old Timers play hockey with a lot of other famous teams and got to see around Montreal. Trend Setters hold meeting By Nancy Hunter The fourth meeting of the Trinity Trent Setters was held on February 25 at the home of Mrs. Suzanne Andrew. Seven members and two leaders repeated the pledge and answered the rollcall. This meeting consisted of eight steps for doing the laundry. The members were shown how to interpret and read care labels, sort laundry, pre -treat stains, fill the washer, rinsing, drying, ironing and storing laundry. The meeting ended with snacks prepared by Robert Ireland.
