Olsons return from trip
Freeman and Bertha Olson have return-
ed home following a two week trip visiting
with friends in Pontiac, Michigan, Toledo,
Ohio, and Melbourne, Florida, near
Orlanda.
Sympathy is extended to Jean and
Harold Elliott and family on the death of
jean's mother, Flora McCreight who died
in Stratford on March 7 in her 83rd year.

The winners were: high lady - Alma Mc-
Cann; low lady - Ila Pollock; men's high -
Adeline „Allen (playing as a white card)
and low man - Jamieson Ribey. The next
and party will be held on March 26.

Lee Shetler returned home Wednesday
from Burke, Virginia where she spent a
week with her daughter Joanne Mahar and
family.
There were 18 tables of euchre at the
Seniors' Centre on Wednesday night: The
high lady was Donna Powell while the low
lady was Belle Mole. The high men's prize
went to Tom Phillips with the low men's
prize going to Bill Kraul.
Lloyd Hodges returned home on Friday
from University Hospital in London where
he had been a patient for a week.
Willetta McWhinney returned home on
Friday from Victoria. Hospital in London
where she underwent treatment for five
days. While in London, she visited with
Verna Hallam of Auburn, a patient at
University Hospital.
Leonard Snelgrove and friend Sophie
returned to Sarnia on Sunday after spen-
ding a few days with his sister, Lee
Shetler.
Congratulations to Howard and Marlene
Godfrey on the occasion of their 34th wed-
ding anniversary on March 21.
A- very successful tea and bake sale was
held on Saturday afternoon at the Seniors'
Centre. Winners of the draws were: First
prize (knitted afghan) - Nels Pearson; two
cash prizes - George Cariff of Dungannon
and Evelyn Errington of Lucknow.
On Friday, March 13, Bill Park and Lee
Shetler celebrated their birthdays with a
birthday supper at the Park home with the
family and Gertie Park. Also attending
was Nell Handy of Maitland Manor in
Goderich.
A huge birthday banner was on display
on Jim and Margaret Errington's front
lawn on Sunday when family members
helped Margaret celebrate her special
` day. her sister Maryanne and Sheldon
Martin of Stratford visited the previous
Sunday to help Margaret observe her
birthday.
The Dungannon Youth group conducted
the services on Sunday at the United
Church. Mia Dalton of Kingsbridge, a
volunteer to Haiti, was the special guest
speaker.
A community shower will be held .for
Nancy Carmichael in the United Church
basement on Sunday, March 29 at 2 p.m.
Nancy is the bride -elect of Duane, Rivett.
MacDONALD - Donald and Mary Anne
(nee Coiling) of Lucknow are pleased to
announce the birth of their daughter, Shari
Anne, 8 lbs. 4 oz., on March 6, 1987. A wee
sister 'for Devon. Proud grandparents are
Harry and Ev Coiling of Ripley and Helen
MacDonald of St. Helens.
deBOER - Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth deBoer of
Rr 2 Lucknow are pleased to announce the
birth of their daughter, Jeanette Sonja, 6
lbs. 7 oz., on March 4, 1987 at the Wingham
and District 'Hospital. She's a wee sister
for 'Rebecca and James.
O'DONNELL - Austin and Nancy are hap-
py to announce the birth of their son, a wee
brother for Candice, on Wednesday,
March 11, 1987 at Henderson Hospital,
Hamilton. An eighth grandchild for Gord
and 'Lois Coleman of Walkerton and
eleventh for Betty 'Donnell of Lucknow.
MURRAY - Allan and Jacky are pleased to
announce the arrival of their son Joseph
Allan, on March 8, 1987. He's the first
grandchild for Pete and Pat Grazier of
Lucknow and the fourth grandson for
Donald and Dorothy Murray.
