Brussels 6 Lancers 3 The Lancers found themselves in a big hole after falling behind three games to none earlier in the week, but managed a win Friday night in Lucknow to force one more game. Friday night's game saw the locals score late in the game for the victory as Brussels had battled back to tie the score at 6-6. Many thanks also to the coaching staff of Mac Conley, Claude Guay, Doug Stevenson and our fearless leader, Greg Hamilton, for a job well done. - Atoms lose to Wasaga Beach The Lucknow Atoms started their OMHA quarter -final series against Wasaga Beach on March 1. The boys played hard, but ended up on the wrong end of an 8-2 score. Wasaga Beach 8 Lucknow 2 The two Lucknow goals were scored by Adrian Helm assisted by Chris DeJong and Chad Hiller and Matt Drennan assisted by Steve Porter. The second game of the series will be played in Wasaga Beach on Friday, March 6 at 8 p.m. Ripley sweeps Pee Wee B's The Lucknow Pee Wee B's have started their playoff series with Ripley with the first game being played on February 18 in Ripley. Ripley 7 Lucknow 3 'Ripley monopolized the scoring until late in the Jhird period with Lucknow scoring three gels with 1:45 left in the game. Scoring for Lucknow were Ray Snow from Doug Helm and Chris Humphrey, Mark Bakker from Matthew Sproul and Steven . Rintoul and Matthew Sproul unassisted. The finals score of the game was 7-3 for Ripley. Ripley 9 Lucknow 0 The second game was played , on February 21 which saw Ripley whitewash Lucknow 9-0. This gives Ripley a 2-0 lead in the best -of -seven playoff series. The Lucknow Pee Wee B's hosted Ripley in the third game of the best -of -three playoff round. Once again, Ripley monopolized the scoring throughout the game which ended in a final score of 11-1 for Ripley. Ripley 11 Lucknow 1 Ken Neable and Mike Arenburg dominated the scoring for Ripley. Lucknow's only goal was scored by Mat- thew Sproul. Allan Kikkert was kept ex- tremely busy in the net for Lucknow. This series ends both the regular season and playoff hockey for the Lucknow Pee Wee B's. They look forward to a tourna- ment later on in March and some exhibi- tion games.
