at Bruce Lea Haven
OU
Wednesday was such a glorious
February 25 for ladies to journey to Bruce
Lea Haven to attend a lovely social time
and 80th birthday dinner for Mrs. Grace
Graham. Mrs. Dorla Cassidy of Teeswater
as hostess greated everyone on arrival and
Grace was so happy to see everyone.
She had her pretty American beauty
dress on with a lovely corsage. After a lit-
tle chit -cat, 13 sat down to a delicious
meal. Those attending were Grace and her
sister Dorothy Thompson, Mrs. Cora Barr
and Winnifred Percy I cousins 1, Edna and
May Boyle, Mrs. Kathleen Cassidy and
Mrs. Belle Graham ( sisters-in-law of
Grace ), Mrs. Rena Forster, Mrs. Olive
Needham, Mrs. Bessie Maulden, Mrs. Ber-
nice Burt and Mrs. Dorla Cassidy.
Edna Boyle said the blessing and all did
justice to a delicious meal. Dorla had
brought a lovely cake and all sang happy
birthday before the cake and ice-crearn
were served.
The table was centered with a lovely
floral arrangement of yellow and white
mums.
Everyone was then invited to the lounge,
where May Boyle had arranged, on re-
quest of the hostess, thoughts on good
friends, the joy of birthdays and a time of
"do you remember Grace?" May told of
some funny times when Grace taught
school at Kinlough S.S. No. 2 and lived with
Edna and May and their parents each
winter. All sang Thank you Lord for this
day.

Hot chocolate and delicious squares
were served before the farewells had to be
said. Grace was just overwhelmed with
the lovely surprise clay and her gifts which
Dorla helped her open. Our wish was "May
the Dear Lord bless and keep you Grace".
