The Atoms A's travelled to Paisley for
the first game of the WOAA Championship
series last Tuesday evening.
Lucknow 4 Paisley 3
It was an exciting game to watch with
Paisley up two goals at the end of the first
period.
Lucknow narrowed the gap in the second
period with Clint Murray's first goal of the
game assisted by Chris de Jong.
Determined to win, the boys came out
flying in the third period. The defence
team of Chad Hiller and Steve Porter set
Clint up for second goal of the night to tie it
up.
Paisley came back with another goal to
put them ahead 3-2, but Lucknow wasn't
about to give up and before the end of the
third period, the Atoms tied it up again
with another goal by Clint Murray assisted
by Darryl Gibson.
With everyone on the edge of their seats,
the game went into a 10 minute overtime
period. Early in overtime, Lucknow
scored with Clint Murray getting his fourth
goal of the game set up by Matt Drennan.
They were able to hold off Paisley to win
the game 4-3.

Pee Wee B's lose to Wallace 6-1
Wallace arrived in Lucknow on Saturday
afternoon for a rematch with the•
hometown Pee Wee B's.
Wallace 6 Lucknow 1
Lucknow, missing Stanley Kikkert,
played a good game, but Wallace, a bigger
team put on, the pressure right from the
start en route to a 6-1 victory.
Wallace came out strong and carried a
3-0 lead entering the third period.
Lucknow's only goal was scord by Tommy
Hogan on a pass from Chris Humphrey
and Lyndon Johnston. Good goal, Tom!
Wallace closed out the third period by
scoring two more goals for the final score
of 6-1 for Wallace.
Throughout the game, only three
penalties were handed out by referee
Guay.
Wallace is definitely a bigger, stronger
team, but Lucknow put forth a good effort.
