school last week. The winners were, back row, from left, Patricia Stapleton, second in the

SMS learn of missionaries in Nepal

The February meeting of the Ashfield
WMS met at the home of Mrs. Neil
MacKenzie on February 19.
The meeting opened,with a poem read by
Mrs. Warren Wylds. The new purpose was
repeated by the group. The Bible Study
The Great Feast" from Luke 14 16-23,
prepared by the World Day of Prayer
Committee, was studied by the group. The
report of the February Glad Tiding was
given by Mrs. Stuart MacLennan. The
rollcall was answered by giving the name
of a missionary serving in South Asia.

Mrs. Ewan MacLean capably handled
the Study Book on Nepal telling of their
country and religions. Christianity is not
legal in this small country and mis-
sionaries go there as doctors, nurses and
other professional people to help the
people.
Mrs. Donald Simpson conducted the
business portion of the meeting and plans
were made to .attend the World Day of
Prayer Service in the St. Augustine
Catholic Church on March 6.
The meeting closed with prayer and •
lunch was served.
