20 ladies present at meeting
The Trinity UCW held their February
meeting at the home of Mrs. Ken Alton
with 20 ladies and one child present. Mrs.
Blake Alton welcomed everyone.
The devotions were lead by Mrs. Jerry
Cranston and Mrs. Livingston Menary and
a hymn was sung by all. The Scripture
lesson was from John 4. The Meditation
was entitled "God's Love is All Over" and
another hymn was sung. Mrs. Cranston
closed the devotions with a reading.
The rollcall was answered by all present
with the word "love" in it. Mrs. Kew Alton
favored the members with a solo. The
Study Book on Indians was presented by
Mrs. Ken Alton with a film strip. Mg.
Chester Haskett gave the Bible Study (on
Psalm 104. The Service of the. Least Cin
was observed.
The offering was received and dedicated
and the minutes of the last meeting were
read and approved. The treasurer's report
was given by Mrs. Warren Zinn.
Coming events for the UCW included the
World Day of Prayer at St. Augustine on
March 6. The members were also invited
to a function at the Alma School on August
8.
The OMAF office is sponsoring a club en-
titled "Short Order Meals" early in
March. The leaders will by Mrs. Chester
Hackett •and Mrs. Lorne Hackett. Trinity
will host the 1988 World Day of Prayer.
A hymn closed the meeting followed by.
the Benediction and Grace. The hostess
and her committee, Mrs. Blake Alton and
Mrs.. Chester Hackett, served a delicious
lunch.
WI holds public relations meeting

Mrs. Donald MacKinnon was host to the
Kinloss Kairshea Women's Institute for
their public relations ( PRO) meeting on
February 19.
The meeting opened with the singing of
the Opening Ode and the repeating of the
Mary Stewart Collect.
The President Mrs. R. Gilchrist welcom-
ed everyone and read a poem. Mrs. Evan
Keith read the Scripture. Leaders for a
short course are Mrs. M. Keith and Mrs. B.
Doelman. The May meeting will be the bus
trip on May 21. Mark your calendars.
Mrs. E. Keith chaired the programme
which consisted of a contest on famous
ladies. A paper on public relations was
prepared by PRO Mrs. II. Howald which
was read by Mrs. E. Keith. There was a
lottery with prizes of baking and jam.
A donation was given to the Play School
in the former Kinloss Central School. Any
used toys of any kind in good condition can
be useful to the play school:
Nineteen members answered the rollcall
with the name a world leader and his or
her country.
