Since December, she has started a business designing the colorful balloon bouquet in her home and has had great success with decora- tions for weddings. ( Alan Rivett photo) Whitechureh woman opens biI1oongreet'ng business By Alan Rivett If your in the market for a gift that's just BUSINESS a little out of the ordinary - Crystal Elliott has just the perfect idea. Since last December, Mrs. Elliott of the Whitechurch area has taken up making balloon greetings both as a hobby and as a business. The helium -filled colored balloons are made into a pleasing arrange- ment which she finds is a_` "good alter- native to flowers or gifts." She discovered the idea for balloon greetings after her son received a balloon greeting while recuperating in hospital. He liked the -gift so much, it prompted Mrs. Elliott to try making them herself and discovered a natural flair for the art. Mrs. Elliott says there are many dif- ferent designs a balloon greeting can tak- ing, including different types and sizes of baskets which are fastened to the colorful balloons. Also available are different basket "fillers" such as toy bears or can- dy. The balloon greetings are appropriate for all occasions, such as get -well, births, anniversairies, showers, and all holidays, she said. So far, Mrs. Elliott says she has had "good response" from the balloon greetings which have met with approval from all all ages. She has also been called on to decorate for wedding receptions, both decorating the hall and creating cen- trepieces with balloons. For Balloon greetings, contact Crystal Elliott at her residence southwest of Whitechurch on 'County Road 22 or phone 357-1532.
