Service Diploma winners

Clarke, Mel Ritchie, Murray Irvin, and
Lloyd Morrison.
In the ladies' Homecraft Division, Dale
Skillen was named as the president,
replacing 1986 president Ruth Bell. Hazel
Hackett will serve as , the first vice-
president with Gloria Messenger as the se-
cond vice-president and Elaine Errington
as the secretary -treasurer.
Guest speakers at the event included
Leonard Patterson, president of the On-
tario Association of Agricultural Societies
l OAAS) ; Bessie Farrell and Burton
Hodgins presidents of District 10; Carol
Rintoul, the 1986 Miss Lucknow Fall Fair;
as well as Herb Clark, Allan Gibson, Barry
Johnston and Cecil Cranston, reeves of
Lucknow, Ashfield, Kinloss and West
Wavvanosh Townships, respectfully.
Special Awards given out at the society's
annual meeting included the 4-H trophy
presented by Ken Mewhinney to Kim and
Debbie Rintoul and the Service Diploma
presented by Norm Bolt to Ian and. Sheila
Clarke.
Guides hold enrolment meeting

On January 29, the Guides held a "Guide.
Enrol ment for Tenderfoots. They were,
Julie Carter, Kristen O'Neill, Sheila Moir,
Melissa Nicholson, Michelle MacGillivray.
Dawne Rhody and Katrina Abbott.
Parents were welcomed by the hostesses
Jennifer Porter, Danielle Cranston and
Denise Black.
The meeting started with rollcall and the
Horseshoe. The color party of Michelle An-
drew, Jennifer Porter, and Tanya Rumble
lifted the flag.
The enrollments were done by Guide
leader Joan Chamney. As part of the tests,
the Tenderfoots had to do the parts of the
World Flag. This was done by Melissa
Nicholson. and Michelle MacGillivray.
Badges earned by the Guides were given
out by Guide leader Joan Chamney. The
Tenderfoots performed a skiton the
history of Guides followed by a snack
prepared and served by the hostesses.
The evening ended with Camp Fire. led
by Joy Becker and Alesha Moffat and a
story by Julie Carter in which the parents
took part. At the end Taps was done and
the lowering of the Flag.
Guide leader Joan Chamney and the
hostesses thanked everyone for coming.
