Rhodys have many guests
for Christmas dinner
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rhody had Mr. and
Mrs. Wayne Rhody and family of London,
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Brace and Traverse
and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Rhody, Matt,
Brad, Dawne and Elaine over for
Christmas dinner.
New Year's dinner guests with Mr. and
Mrs. Tom McDonald were Mr. and Mrs.
Ronald Young of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs.
Sandy Kelly from British Columbia, Mr.
and Mrs. .Bert Thompson of Culross
Township, Mr. and Mrs. Mac McDonald
and Jeffery of Kincardine, Mrs. Esther
Bushell of Kingarf and Mrs. Rick Hehn of
Riversdale.
Mrs. William MacPherson is a patient at
the Kincardine hospital. We send get -well
wishes, Lorraine.
Miss Betty Hamilton of St. Catherines-
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barr.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson and Lois
had family members home for both
Christmas and New Year's in their new
Kincardine home,,
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bennett of Toronto
brought their grandfather Mr. Arthur
Haldenby home on Friday after spending
Christmas and New Year's with his family
in Toronto.
Mrs. Ezra Stanley got home from
Wingham hospital on Friday after major
surgery before Christmas. So glad you're
home, Lulu.
'. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Haldenby, glen, Eric,
and Sara held New Year's at their home
for Miss Winnifred Percy, Bill and Brian
Percy, Jack Barr,.Leanne Haldenby, Rene
Murray and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Percy.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Halden-
by and family on . Sunday were Mr. and
Mrs. Mel Dahmer of Millarton and Mr. and
Mrs. Gayle Haldenby of Armow.
Mr... and Mrs. Glen Haldenby and Sara
were New Year's Eve visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Charlie Murray and family of
Concession 10.
Mr. John Lane of Port Elgin spent
Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Lane
and Blaine.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell visited on
Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Don
Gillespie.
Mrs. Katherine Fraser, Janice and Ed-
win of Armow and Miss Anne Fraser and
Mr. Doug McLeod of Kitchener spent
Christmas with Mr. and MrsEdbert
Bushell. Other .callers were Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Howard of Kincardine.
Visitors over the Christmas holidays
with Mr. and Mrs. Bill MacPherson of
Holyrood were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wilson
of Stoney Creek.
Intended for last week
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fry of Harriston
spent the weekend with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs.'William E. Haldenby. Also spen-
ding Christmas with the haldenby family
were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Haldenby of
Guelph.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burt enjoyed a holiday
in Toronto where they also spent
Christmas with their family members,,.
there.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Lane spent Sun-
day evening with Edna and May Boyle. On
Christmas day, they had Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Scott and Mrs. Elizabeth Fair
visiting with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Eadie have moved
to their Wingham home and Mr. and Mrs.
Steven Eadie and Joel have moved into the
Eadie home on Concession 8. The com-
munity is sorry to lose Lorne and Doris,
but wish them a happy and healthy retire-
ment and welcome Steve, Kim and Joel to
the community.
The community welcomed the Anglican
Youth Group on Monday evening during
the BGlessed Season as they went carolling
the age-old carols with the true spirit of
Christmas. s.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Guest. spent
Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Wally
Waechter and family of Formosa.
A number from here attended the
Christmas Eve service at St. Peter's
Church in Lucknow.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hodgins held
Christmas at their home.: at noon. Dr.
Donald, and Mrs. Hodgins and family of
Ripley, Mr. and ' Mrs. John Hodgins of
Westford and- other family members were
present.
Members of the Ripley Lions Club held
their annual Christmas call on area senior
citizens and brought them a lovely
Christmas cake. Thanks for being so kind.
Mr. Ezra Stanley spent the week at Har-
riston with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Stanley.
Mr. Stanley, along with Mr. and Mrs. Tony
Howald of Lucknow, spent Christmas with
Mr 'and Mrs. Leonard Stanley and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred P e, visited on
Wednesday with Mr. and. Richard
Page and, family of Burlington.
Mr, and Mrs. Tom MacDonald . had
Christmas_ dinner with, her father, Mr.
Joseph Guest at Bruce Lea Haven in
Walkerton.
On Boxing day, Mr. and Mrs. Bert
Thompson and Jim, Mr. and Mrs. Tom
MacDonald and Mr. and Mrs. Clare
Bushell and Jack were dinner guests with
Mr. and Mrs. Mac McDonald and Jeffery _
of Kincardine.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken MacDonald and fami-
ly spent Christmas in Kitchener with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Yeandle.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McDonald, Karen
and boys of Orangeville visited with his
parents here.
Mr. and Mrs: Jim Hodgins had their
mothers; Mrs. Agnes Hodgins of here and
Mrs. Anne Rilett of Windsor with them for
Christmas. Also visiting were Tammy
Hodgins of Glencoe, Michele Hodgins, of
London, .Mr. and Mrs. Len Elms of Pine
River and Murray Barr of here.
Mrs. John Barr, Donald Barr -and Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Barr had their Christmas
dinner on Boxing Day with Mr. and Mrs.,
Morley Bushell and Margaret Bushell of
Wingham. Margaret had just returned
from a most enjoyable trip to New
Zealand. They all enjoyed seeing her
pictures.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bertrand and family
of Simcoe had a nice holiday here with,
Miss Winnifred Percy and Bill and Brian
Percy. Joining them all for Christmas din-
ner were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brooks and
boys of Listowel.
Donald Barr returned to Waterloo on
Friday evening after spending Christmas
with his mother and other members of his
family here.
Friends here were sorry to know that
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Emmerton and Cindy
of Ripley lost their home and its contents
by fire on Boxing Day. -The Emmerton_
family lived for years east of Westford
when Lorne was employed by Frank Mur-
ray. Linda's mother Mrs. Bogues bought a
" home in Ripley in the fall so the Emmer-
ton's have shelter.
Pastor and Mrs. M. Christinsen returned
home after having Christmas dinners and
visits at Toronto, Burlington, and Milton.
Their granddaughter Janine came home
with them for a few days. -
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell had their
family home on Boxing Day. Visiting
were, Mr. and Mrs, Kurt Nielson and boys
of Bracebridge, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morn-
ingstar and Lindsey of Port Elgin, Mr. and
Mrs. Brian Thompson and family and Mr.
and Mrs. Bruce Bushell and Rachel. Call-
ing in the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs.
Don Gillespie, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Gillespie,
David and Anglea and Mr. and Mrs. An-
drew Page.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Gillespie and family
had Christmas at their home for Mr. and
Mrs. Orval Wilson and Ron, Mr. and Mrs.
Don Gillespie, Mr. and Mrs Andy Page of
here, Mr. and Mr's. Doug Drennan, .Jackie
McKinnon, Mrs. Isabel Drennan of Kincar-
dine an r. and Mrs. Dennis Drennan.
Mr. *I Mrs. Todd Park, Jesse and
Dyllon travrelled to Lansing, Michigan for
the holidays.
Mr.'and Mrs. Paul Preiss and family and
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Lackenbauer and fami-
ly of Kitchener visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Guest.

bell Of Kincardine visited wj Edna and

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Percy held Christmas
and had Mr. and Mrs, Glen Haldenby,
Leanne, Glen, Eric and Sara Haldenby,
Rene Murray and Mr. and Mrs. Weir
Eckenswiller with them.
