The Lucknow Lancers continued
to battle away in action over the
weekend whin theyAditn_home,
WdThnie series with 'Merton.
Friday night in Tiverton the Lan-
cers were dumped by a 6 - 0 loss
and the loss of goalie Dean
Lindsay, who left the game with
two broken fingers.
The Lancers were better prepared
on Sunday night and came away
with a 5 - 4 win. Mike Whitcroft
opened the scoring and Steve
Simpson and Grant Gilchrist added
one each as die Lancers led 3 - 1
Tension started to mount and
bodies started ,to fly in the second
period but the Lancers held their
own and took a 4- 1 lead into the'
third with,Mike 'Whitcroft netting
his secondofthe night.
• Tiverton battled back in the last
period as the Lancers were running
out of steam and players, but die
locals held on for a 5 - 4 win with

Atom A's skate hard to take big win
The Lucknow Atom A team took
to the road when they visited
Mikhnay last Thursday evening.

minutes Craig Moffat put the

Late the period Dennis Lubbers
scored from the blue line with
Daryl Aitchison and Ean Moffat

In the second period Conor
McDonagh opened the scoring and
MacKinnon followed suit. Lubbers
passed to Dale Courtney, who
quickly made it 6 - 0.
In the third period, MacKinnon
very quickly drove his second goal
in followed by McGee and Moffat.
Grey Courtney, assisted by
Courtney and Moffat, finished the
night off.

Ripley vs Lucknow
The next evening the Atom team
played host to Ripley, who came
out like a freight train and bom-
barded Lucknow's goaltender and
defence heavily.

The Lucknow Pee Wee A team
travelled to Mildmay on November
25 and met with a strong passing
team. Mildmay's solid offence fired
