OCtoberfest came tO LUckflOW out.
October 5 'arid what a time it w
for the. .over 00 people, who
gathered to enjoy German food,
music and dancers,
Franke Prelw, of I -R,, 1, Ripley,
was the maste'aitincl of the events,
being held for the first time in
Luvknow. With the assistance of the
Lucknow Igions Club, the evening
was • so successful that plaits are

October.
The band for the evening, the
Mississauga Express, of Toronto,
played just about anything you
could ask for, from the polka to the
twist. Their versatility made it
possible for everyone to take to the
dance floor.
During the intermission, the Tran-
sylvania Dancegroup, flora
Kitchener and the Blau Weiss
Bayern Schuhplattler group fi-ent
Brampton entertained the crowd
with traditional German dances: •
German food was available
throughout the evening and offered
the hungry many different choices
of German meat, aloag_ with
sauerkraut thilpotatoe—sala- -
Special guests were a group of 50
people from Germany, who have
been 'on tour of Ontario. The
evening received the highest praise
from these _people, who said they.
even liked it better than their .0c-

out. The tree was selected as a
sleeping place, likely as a security
against stray dogs, just as his far
distant ancestors had, according to
DarWin, made their homes in trees
to avoid the wolfish ancestors of
the dog.
Selecting a tree that he could
climb he took up light poles and
laid them on two suitable branches.

On this foundation he put brush-
wood and on top of that a quantity
of meadow grass. What, could be
more delightfully primitive than
this?

After a about a week's sojourn,
