merchants
rebel
Merchants in the Town of Win-
gham have had it with government
taxes.
in response to customers'
complaints about high taxes, 3/
businesses will stage a revolt
against taxes on September 20,
1991.
Organizers say the RAT day
(revolt against taxes). is an
tunity for shoppers and . m
'alike. to display their dissatisfaction
at being over -taxes and over -bur-
dened with paperwork. For the
entire day virtually all customer
purchases will be exempted from
GST and PST.
The Wingham merchants join
many other towns and 'anti -tax
lobby groups in delivering this tax
revolt message to Ottawa and
Queen's Park.
