They're minds may not be on the --safety aspects a crossing streets. Take a little extra time and slow downs And please remember the law says motorists coming in both directions must stop for the flashing red lights of the school buses. To parents, we ask you to remind your. children of the rules of the road. With summer holidays officially at an end we asked some area students how they viewed going back to school and what the high- light of their summer was. or not Highlights of Lisa Kwan's summer holidays included visits to cousins in Woodstock and to Toronto to see her grandmother and other cousins, who were visiting from Florida. Lisa was happy to be going back to class, - saying- there is more to -do- when school is in. Stating that summer holidays eventually get a little boring' , Jean Cook, a Brookside Student, was looking forward to going back to classy Visits to Burlington, the united States and Wally World, in London, were the highlights of Jean's - summer- olidays:. - - .—_. Kranenburg, an avid Blue Jay fan, said if he had his way he would opt for a few more holidays. He wasn't bored, or at least he would not admit it. Camp and a visit to Sauble Beach where he drove a go-cart (he beat his dad) were high points of Mark's summer. For Carolyn Schuit, a Luck - now . Central Public School student, time spent at . her aunt's in the Stratford area and enjoying the swimming pool helped put in the summer months. While she admits holidays are "pretty nice", Carolyn too found it can get just a wee bit boring. Grandma and grandpa Page enjoy visit with daughter and grandchildren Katherine Mohamed and boys, of Toronto, spent a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Page and other relatives here. Bessie Maulden returned home on Monday after having a holiday with her cousin, Madeleine Edward, at her cottage at Port Elgin. They visited with other relatives and friends there, Volaine Hodgins and daughter Tamara spent the weekend at Windsor. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barr of here and Ross Hamilton, of Brandon, visited at St. Catharines with Betty Hamilton and Mr. and Mrs. Gareth Turner. They also called on Mr. and Mrs. Jim Young at Milton. Mr. and Mrs. Don Gillespie, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barr and Mr, and Mrs. Don McEwan of here, Mr. and Mrs. Morley Bushell of Wingham, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burt, of Kincardine, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell oil Saturday evening, it being the occasion of Marion and Bemire 's birthdays. This week Reg went to Ottawa where he attended a special award event at which time his son Russell received an award for excellency in professional photography. With .the new library in the Pente- costal Church under the direction of Thelma Powell, a super summer reading contest was started so that all would take advantage of it, Mary Lou Richardson, Mrs. M. Christensen and Mrs. A. Scheurwater were the winners. Mr. and Mrs. Syd Linton and Mr. and Mrs. LOOM moon were Winer guests with Nina McDonald And on n Sunday evening Nina visited with her cousins, Fred and Mary Guest. Mrs. Brendan Donahue of Lon- don, ondon, visited on Thursday with her cousins Edna, and May Boyle. Evelyn Hupfer of Wingham visited on Thursday with Bessie Maulden.
