today, they kneW what to do with the.
T.V. shut off. We sangsongs, played.
games like •Skunk", atnd laughed a lot.
They .helped to teach me 'how to play.
Now, as an adult, ' 1 dti riot feel silly
when I °sit, on the floor to play with my
children each evening. I know that it is
important, far more important than get-
ting all the work dono tet once or than
beingable to give my children every-
thimoney can buy. Grandpa was a
man of faith. There were no miraculous
events in his daily life, but like so many
men of God, he did not quit trusting
God because of the trials put in his path
each day. This is a testimony far
greater to mo than that of man", who
have witnessed tremendous miracles or
preached wonderful sole nsnns. Bricause
of his personal relationship with God,
and because of his faith in God, my
Grandpa is now in heaven. It is' my
prayer, today, that 1 may display faith
like Grandpa's and that, in my lifetime,
1 may give to those around me as many
good, rich memories as my Grandpa
has given me. Written 1991, Jan. 18 in
loving memory of Grandpa, Thomas A.
McDonald, by Judy Linde. • 5
