George Cornish celebrates 90th birthday at Ripley party

his 90th bfrthdiy at his home

sion roads doing barn
threshings back fifty years
ago.

John Munn who ;is a
psychologist at the Hincks
Treatment Centre on Jarvis
Street in mid Toronto. John
has his Ph.D. degree from
• the University of Toronto.
• John says that children who
have been ad6pted, or have
experienced death, separa-
• tion or divorce, may need'
help expressing their feel-
ings. The Hincks Centre is
concluding a two year study
to find which children are
most helped by play therapy.
• It can help children as young
as 2 arid as old as 16. They
find that the younger the
therapists get working with
them the easier it is to break
the barriers.
Seven inspectors from
Toronto, each with a brief
•case, came to the' Royal
Bank in Ripley last week.

Thursday a train made its
weekly 'run through Ripley
and folks listened to the
lonesome whistle of Engine
3730 for the second con-
secutive week. To refresh
our memories it was on
Thursday May 6 when the
irst train for the year 1982
made its run on the
Pahners,ton • Kincardine
branch back. Pulling it was
Engine 4533'and it was back
in June and July. Observing
engine numbers goes back to
a hobby in those depression
years 1930 - 33 in London.
After, undergoing 'surgery
in Kincardine and District
Hospital in mid August,
Florence MacDonald was
back last week in her hair'
dressing shop in Ripley.

will be going from place to
place as she does the
enumeration of the folks in
the village of Ripley.
On Friday afternoon at one
thirty the Ripley Women's
Institute will meet in the
Ripley Huron Legion Hall.
