Marion MacLennan will remain at home with, her mother for a time. Florence MacLennan of Kincardine andher mother, Mrs. Rhetta MacLennan. were .in Palmerston visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Millar and boys, and also visited in Harriston with Rhetta's brother and sister- in-law Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jardine one day last week. Thomas MacDonald, son of Tom and. Gloria Mac- Donald , of Fort Nelson, British"Columbia, is holiday- ing with his grandparents, Finlay and Margie Mac- Donald. Alex MacDonald of Fort Nelson, British Columbia is at home with his father David MacDonald. Katie Sutherland of Lon- don ..is staying a few days with her sister, Mrs. Dorothy MacLennan. Jack Maci:ennan of Strat- ford is staying a couple of days with his mother, Mrs, Rhetta MacLennan. Jim Webster of . Waterloo and his mother, Mrs. Kae Webster spent a few days in. Richfield, Ohio with Atlee, Jean, and Tricia Wise and Cecil Webster. One of the main places of interest they visited .in Akron, Ohio, was the mansion built by Sam E. Seiberling, the founder of Goodyear. It is a living link with Tudor England. It is now known as Stan Hywett Hall. It has sixty-five rooms. and approximately 30 fireplaces. Most of the rooms are furnished in 14th and 15th century furnishings. Needless to say the mansion and the grounds are marvelous. It consists now of seventy acres and originally there were 3,000 acres. It is a great place to see if you are in the area. Jim and Kae saw two baseball games that Tricia Wise played in. Her team,the Blue Streaks, have won the championship. It is the eight to eleven age group and there are four teams in the league. On Thursday even - Trinity 4-Hclub discuss foodguide The first meeting of the Trinity 4-H club, "More out- door living" was opened with the 4-H 'pledge. The leaders for this club are Mrs. Hazel Hackett and ''Miss Sharon. Alton'. They have, six members. . The executive is as follows: president, Brenda Hackett, vice-president, Suzanne Alton, secretary and press -reporter- rotating. Members learned about identifying animal tracks and making plaster of paris prints of them. They discussed the Canada Ford Guide and planning for outings. The meeting closed with the members making and sampling . ham andcheese roll -ups .along with juice and a relish tray. Call on Mel Jones inDnng Kinnon by Marie Park Callers with Mel Jones this past week were Marvin and Evelyn Smith of Chatham on Tuesday and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie • King . of Detroit, Michigan, on Wednesday. The Smiths were -former residents, having lived where Mr. and Mrs. Mike Moran now reside: Mr. Harold Sproul of Nelson, British Columbia is visiting with his sister, Mrs: Emma Elliott in Goderich. On Sunday they visited with Harold and Jean Elliott. Also present were Jean's parents; Mr: and Mrs. Roy McCreight of Goderich. Plan trip, On Monday, July 12 the ' West Huron Junior Farmers' meeting was opened with the Jr. Farmers song. The ball tournament and tractor pull booths were very successful. The club is going camping the last weekend in. August at Point Farms. They are also planning; a barbecue and a dance for next year. They decided to have. a rose bowl award for the outstanding Junior Farmer in the club each month.. Club members recently painted a bridge that wall be moved to the Ashfield : Park later on this year. Krista Pannabecker of Colborne Township and Scott Nicholson of Belfast holidayed last week with their 'grandparents, Jim and Margaret Errington. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Thomas and Jennifer of Bolton were mid -week visitors with her mother, Mrs. Thomas Webster. .. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Dagworthy of Toronto were weekend visitors with. Harold and Dorothy Err- ington. On the weekend Bob and Ethel. McAllister of the 6th concession of W. Wawanosh went to the Bobcaygeoin Old Time Fiddle and Step Dance competitions. Their grand- daughter, Donna Raynard, daughter of Doug and Mary Lou Raynard placed fourth in a class of 32 for 12 and under. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners were all pupils of Miss Kim Craig of Blyth. Featured entertainers, between theclasses were Graham and Eleanor (Reed) Townsend. In talking with Ethel, Eleanor wished to be remembered to all her ' Dungannon friends. A successful Stag and Doe was held on Saturday even- ing for Tom Park and Michelle Good who ate to be married in August. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Robb have their two grand- children, Darryl and Meredith McClutcheon of Lions Head with them for a week. On Friday they had their daughter and son-in- law, Sandra and Bob Darling of Hanover stay for a few hours and. Shelly Irvin, daughter .of William and Shirley Irvin spent a couple of days at her grandparents' home. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Wylds had a small birthday party in honour of Dan Wylds on his ninety-sixth bir- thday on July, 16. Those pre- sent were his brother and his wife, . Attend graduation class reunion by Ruth Buchmeier Weekend guests with Mr. and. Mrs. Evan Keith were Brian and Louise Keith of Toronto, Louise's mother, Mrs. Ann Coneybeare and her brother, Joe Coneybeare of Toronto. Brian and Louise attended the tenth anniver- sary party of her grade 13 graduation class of F.E. Madill Secondary School at the Ashfield Park on Satur- day night. Mr. and Mrs. Don ,Bell, Wayne and Beverley spent last week at Amberley beach at the cottage. They sure had beautiful weather. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moffat and family, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Johnston and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ray 'Buchmeier were guests at a barbecue with Mr. an d Mrs. Ken Houston and girls at, Pike Lake on. Sunday. Mrs, Connie Eadie, Matthew and Erin visited recently with the Houston family. A china painting seminar Was held in the Lucknow town hall from Monday July 19 to Friday, July 23 spon- sored by Eunice Cunn- ingham. Shirley Weibel of Barkley, Michigan was the teacher.
