Cyril Aubrey Higgins
Cyril Aubrey Higgins of
Pinecrest Manor Nursing
Home, Lucknow ' and former-
ly of Dungannon, died at
Wingham and District Hos-
pital on June 6, 1982; at the
age of 89.
Born in Ashfield Township
on March 17, 1893, he was
the son of the late Robert
Higgins and Rabina Caesar.

He worked, as a mechanic
in Detroit for 50 years before
retiring to Dungannon.
He is survived by his
second wife, Mary 'McCourt
of Pinecrest Manor, whom he
married on June .7, 1979 in
St: Augustine..
He is also survived by.. a
son, Jack Higgins of Mt.
Clements, Michigan, and a
sister Elizabeth Treleaven of.
Wingham.
He was predeceased by hii
first wife, Mary Curran and a
son, Bobbi Higgins.
The funeral service . was
held from the MacKenzie
and McCreath Funeral Home
in Lucknow on June 8, 1982
at 2.30 , p.m. Rev: George
Garratt of Lucknow conduct-
ed the service.
Pallbearers were Robert
Higgins,Joseph Higgins,
Patrick Higgins, Donald Cur-
ran, Grant Curran and 'Paul
Curran.
Flower. bearers were Kelly
Higgins, Kim Higgins, Sus-
an Chisholm and Kim Hilver-
da.
Burial followed in Dungan-
non Cemetery..

Wraith of 290 Minnie Street,
Wingham, formerly of Luck -
now. She was in her 75th
year:
Mrs. Wraith was the form-
er Fanny Elizabeth Wall and
was born . in Culross Town-
ship on May. 20,A908. Her
parents were the late Wilson
Ira Wall and Annie Pinnell.
Her husband predeceased
her in 1978.
' Mrs, Wraith is survived by
two sons, Rodwell : Wraith of
Wingham and Eldon Wraith
of Sarnia;, and ' six grand-
children. One sister, Mrs.
Len (Hope) Conley of St.
Marys, and one brother,
Gordon Wall of Wingham,.
also survived. She was pre-
deceased by one sister, Mrs.
Bert (Emma) Moffat, and.
three brothers, Lincoln, Les-
lie and Ira..
Mrs. Wraith .was a mem-
ber of St. Andrew's Pres-.
byterian. Church and also
belonged to the Lucknow
Women's Institute, the Mait-
land Women's Institute
(Wingham), the Mary Hast-
ings Club, the Wingham
Senior Citizens' Club and the
seniors' bowling league.
The late Mrs. John Wraith
rested at the Currie -Walker
Funeral Home where friends
paid their 'respects until
Thursday when Rev. Paul.
Mills conducted service at
twobzclock.
Final resting place is Lang
side Cemetery, Kinloss Cem-
etery.
Pallbearers ' were Bill
Wraith, Jim Albrecht, Brian.
Wall, . David Wall, Jim Mof-
fat and Jim Collinson. Two
grandchildren, ' Cheri and
Scott Wraith, carried floral
tributes to the graveside.

McCreath . Funeral Home
from Tuesday, June 22 at
8.00 p.m., the funeral will be
on, Thursday, June 24.
The Rev. Hugh Nugent
will officiate. Burial is in
Greenhill Cemetery.

George L MacDonald of
St. Petersburg, Florida, for-
ynerly of R. 1 Lucknow, died
on May 18, 1982.
Born on September 13,
1901, * he was the son of the
late Frederick L MacDonald
and Catherine MacDoug-
all. He worked in Detroit and
subsequently bought a farm.
in the Sandusky area of
Michigan.
He lived in Michigan from
the age, of 18 until five years
ago when he retired to Flor-
ida.
He was predeceased by his
wife.
• Mrs. Emma I. Alton
Mrs. Emma I. Alton died
at Pinecrest Manor Nursing
Home in Lucknow on May
17, 1982.
Emma' Issabelle Woods
was born in West Wawanosh
Township, the third daughter
of the, late William. Woods
and former Isabelle Barbour.
She was predeceased by
two sisters and two brothers;
also by her first husband,,
Richard (Dick) Martin, in
1961 and her second ilus
band, Walter Alton, in. Dec-'
ember of 1981.
Emma attended public
school in West Wawanosh
and graduated from business
college in Wingham.
She married Richard. Mart-
in on September 16, 1916,
and they made their home on
the Martin homestead on the
fourthconcession of Huron
Township where Emma took
an active part in church and
community organizations.
Following ¶he death of her
husband in 1961, Emma
moved to Lucknow where she
married Walter Alton, June
14, 1968.
Emma Alton is survived by
one brother, Elmer Woods of
Wingham; one daughter,
Laurine, Mrs. T. Allan Mac-
Donald . of Kincardine; one
son, Austin Martin of Luck -
now; three grandchildren,
Ann MacDonald, Marilyn
Martin and Richard (Rick)
Martin; one stepson, Frank
Alton, and seven step -grand-
children. '
The funeral for Emma
Alton was held May 19 in the.
MacKenzie and McCreath
Funeral Home with the Rev.
Warren McDougall Officiat-
ing.
Interment was at Ripley
Cemetery. Pallbearers were
Russell Alton, Ira Dickie,
Leonard Maclnnes, Robert
Osborne, Harry Scott and
Warren Zinn.
Flower bearers were Rick
Martin and the three step
grandsons, Gordon, Kevin
and Jamie Alton.

daughter, Viriginia Wisener
of West Vancouver, B.C.,

• en, Jeffrey and Brian.
She was predeceased by a
son, William S. Karn and her
husband.
A private family service
was held, at the Armstrong
Funeral Home, Oshawa; Sat-
urday, May 29, 1982 at 11,
a.m.
Interment followed in. Osh-
awa Union Cemetery.
