Garden party successful

A very successful Garden
Party was held at. Trinity
United Church last Tuesday
with a good crowd enjoying.
the bountiful dinner.

in British Columbia with . her
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Bud

folks on your 25th wedding
anniversary. .
Charlie and Mayme Wilk-
ins held a roast beef bar-
beque at their home on
Sunday evening for the Adult
Fellowship' Group. Mayme
was in charge of the topic -
which was a debate for the
men, "Should one work for
pay or. do voluntary. work?"
The ladies were the judges.

Scott who graduated last
Saturday, : June. 12 from
Conestoga. College, Doon
Campus. Marvin and Nannie
attended his graduation ex-
ercisesfrom the Welding

Mrs. Frank Northgrave of
Arva visited on the weekend

Phillips, Little. Tara and Mat-
thew Barger of Kincardine.

Annie and Bill ,Duffle, of
Mount Hope spent the week-
end with her sister, Violet
and Allan Ritchie, Bryce and
Wendy Ritchie and baby,

Wesley and Hannah visited
on Sunday afternoon at the
Ritchie home. •

are busy studying for their
exams that will be completed
this week. Congratulations to
all student who have had a
successful year.
The High School Sunday
School class of Trinity United
Church attended Kings-
bridge . Roman Catholic
Church on Sunday morning
and had a discussion period
with Father Ed Dettinger
after the mass.
Bert and Irene Griffith.
visited last yvednesday for
dinner with Wilfred and Vir-
ginia Hackett.
Band plays at The Forum
The Lucknow School Con-
cert Band completed a suc-
cessful trip May.26 28 with.
a concert at The Forum in
Ontario Place,
The annual trip began with
a concert in Londesborough
Public School on the morning
of May 26 followed by con-
certs at Clinton. Public School
and.Seaforth Public School in
the afternoon.
The evening was spent in
Stratford . strolling through
the park along the Avon
River near the Shakespear-
ean Festival.: The band . stay-
ed the night at the Festival
Motor Inn.
concerts at two .public
schools in Stratford before
heading to Mississauga
where they spent the night at
Erindale College Residence
after a tackle football game
in the dark.
On Friday they played a
concert for students at. a
Mississauga . public- . school
and .in theafternoon played,
their final concert of the trip
at the Forum, Ontario Place.
'Following The Forum con-
cert, members were permit-
ted to see the sights at
Ontario Place before return-
ing to Lucknow, Friday even-
, ing.
The band appreciates the
time and effort of their
leader, Gordon Cayley who
organized the trip and toler-
•
ated. the "crazy antics
The band held their last
practice; of this season on
,lune 8 at which time the el-
ected the officers for their
1982.83 executives president,
Liz Black; vice--presidegt,
Lynn Murray; secretary -trea-
surer, Doug Clark; dues col-
lector,
'ol lector, Brenda Phillips; at-
tendance taker, Ken Irwin.

goes on tours. The persons
