Lochalsh couple attend teen weekend at Paris

Kenny Wilkins, son of
Charles, and Mayme
• spent the weekend at Five
Oaks near Paris, Ontario to
attend a. Teen Weekend
there.
Sympathy is extended to
the family of the late George
McDonald of Ripley and
formerly ' of the second of
Huron Township. He is surv-
ived by his wife, Irma and
five sisters. George McDon-
ald has been very well known
in the dealing with antiques.
Wellington, Kae, Jim and
Cecil Webster spent the
weekend in Richfield, Ohio
with At1ee, Jean and Tricia
Wise. On Sunday they all
went to Sea World near
Cleveland, where they enjoy-
ed watching Shamu and
Mamui. the two very well
trained killer whales. "Cecil
remnined in Richfield to visit
• with the Wise family.
Mayme Wilkins and 'Edna
Culbert had a very successful
sale last weekend at the
Wilkins' home and are hop-
ing to be, able to continue
with the sale every weekend \
throughout the summer.
George and, Betty Mon-
crief have .a new Prowler
trailer, which sleeps' seven
comfortably. Last weekend
along with George and Jane
Ullrich and •three girls of
London they camped for the
weekend at Bayfield.
Recent visitors this past
week with Oliver and Marion
McCharles of Kincardine
were. Mr. and. Mrs. John
McCharles and Ryan of Pet-
,
trolia, Mr, Donald McChar-
les and Heather of Chatham,
Mrs. Allan McCharles, Sus-
an,
.Karen and Gregg of.
Oakville, Mr. and Mrs. Colin
Robertson of Vancouver,.
British Columbia and Mrs.
Myrtle Ashley and Mrs. Alan
Whicher, both of Wiarton.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Robb were in Lions Head on
the holiday weekend.. They
stayed with their grandchild-
ren while their daughter and,
son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin McCutcheon attended
a wedding and reception.
We are sorry to learn. that
Mrs. Bob (Mary) McNay of
Arthritis.

plans
canvass
The Lucknow and District
13ranch.of the Canadian Arth-
ritis Society met on May 27 at
the home of Mrs. Alex And-
rew, Those present were

• Region; Catherine Andrew,
Olive Chisholm, Sally Rit-
chie, Tillie Wilson, Margaret

Thelma Brown, Betty Rit-
chie, Cora Cranston, Noma
Campbell and Joyce Adam-
son.
Plans to hold the annual
canvass were discussed. This
canvass will be September 7 -
18. Discussions on ways and
• means to raise money, other
than the canvass, were held.
• CO111 bottles will be placed at
various outlets in the village.
Amberley has been a patient
in a London Hospital. We are
pleased to know she is now at
home. Get well wishes,

Charles and Mayme Wilk-
ins attended the wedding of
their cousin, Cindy Nelson
and Mark Kappes in Avonton
on Friday, May 21.

Laura and Mabel Camp-
bell of Toronto visited on
Monday of last week with
Charles and Mayme Wilkins.
Larry Courtney of Point
Clark, son of Leonard and
Muriel Courtney, was ser-
iously, injured in a car ac-
cident one week ago. He
remains in serious condition
at this time. We wish him a
very speedy recovery.
George, Andrea, Julie and
Michael MacDonald were in
Toronto a couple of weeks
ago and they spent a very
enjoyable day at Wonder-
