crowd attended the band concert which featured the Lucknow School Concert Band and the
Lucknow School Junior :Bald, both under the direction of Gordon Cayley. •

Shower bride-to-be

tended a shower for Wendy
Fitz -Henry ' at Brookside.
School on Saturday after-
noon. She is the bride-to-be
of Dale Irvin of Waterloo, son.
of Russell and Lillian Irvin.
Harvey and Betty Ritchie
visited Sunday in Fordwich
withilher sister,. Elva and. Bert
Wylie.
Cliff and Grace Hackett of
Olds, Alberta arrived Satur-
day to visit Ontario relatives
and are staying with Chester
and Bell Hackett.
The Adult' ' Fellowship
Group met at ' Frank and
Loreen Alton's home on Sun-
day evening and viewed a
film .strip on, Communism.
Visitors with Cora Cran

The Trinity U.C.W. ladies
attended the Donnybrook
ladies' Thankoffering meet-
ing Monday evening •when
Mr. and Mrs: Wilson Thorn-
ton of Bluevale showed slides')
of Russia and Poland and
other Eastern Countries they
had visited last summer. It
was most interesting.
On May 13, T>tinity
U.C.W. held their regular
meeting at the home of Mrs.
Doug Raynard, with an at-
tendance of 19 membersand
two. children.
The president,' Mrs. Ken
Alton, welcomed every one
and read a poem, Take Time
To Think: The • devotions
were introduced by Mrs.
Warren Zinn with the topic,
The . Road To Canna. Mrs.
Zinn led in prayer, land Mrs.
Cliff Kilpatrick read the
scripture.
The roll call, was answered
with, A Mother of the Bible.
Mrs. Charles Wilkins ' con-
ducted the Bible Study,
Mrs. Ken. Alton conducted•
a contest on Familiar Hymn
Titles. Mrs.. Alton then led in
prayer. •.
Mrs. Murray Irvin • gave
the study book, with a story
on• thee difference between
the poor, and the rich.
Mrs. Alton conducted the
business :portion of the meet-
ing. A bale is to be packed at
Mrs. Tim Reurink's home on
May 19.
Following • the business, a
Chinese Auction was held,
which left everyone with
something to take home.

Watch sheep shearing

The grade one classes of
Mrs. Young and Mrs. Jolly at
Brookside School enjoyed a
his trip to St. Helen's Farms
(Todd Brothers) to see how a
-sheep is sheared. The child-
ren each returned home with
a sample of the fleece.

Dutton to visit with Colin

did a sword dance. Piano
solos were done by Beverly
Aitchison and Celia Chand-
ler. Beth. Aitchison conduct-
ed a contest.
Valerie was assited by her
sisters, Debbie MacGillivray.
and Lorene Conley in open-
ing her gifts. Following the
thank you, a light lunch was
served.
