Mrs, MacDonald's Grade
One class at Ripley Huron
Central School were,
delighted to be asked to view
a "Space" production put on
by Miss Garvey's class at the
District School, The sound
effects were terrific and our
class registered both sur-
prise and fear as we watched
the production, Thanks for
the invitation,
Open House mak held on
Wednesday ' evening with
many of our parents present
to view our work and
projects.
Mrs. MacDonald's and
Mrs, Collins' Grade Two
classroom showed signs, of
spring as the students
displayed their work for
Open House. Many parents,
commented on the students'
stories which told what they
might be doing in the year
2000. Zoo booklets were also
shown, • The students have
worked hard to makes,
displays to show their school
work,
The Junior Choir en-
tertained at Open House on
Wed,, Apri, 28, The songs
they sang were Hello I'm
Me, Inch Worm, and Let Us
Sing Together, . The choir
performed well and all the
membersin the choir would
like to give thanks to Mrs.
MacDonald who was the
choir' leader and Mrs.
MacKay for playing the
piano. .
All the library classes
have been .working on
special units this term from
Curious George and "Mr.
Men" books in Grade One,
through' Dr. Seuss, Fairy
Tales and Tall Tales to
Mystery stories and `Choose
Your Own Adventure' books
In.Grade Stec,
The "Take Away Book
Display" in Mildmay on Apr.
19 .provided some beautiful
new books for our library,
We all look forward to
readingthem! 1.
Grade Two and Three have
had a most enjoyable week
starting on Monday With a
visit to Donna Garvey's
:drama group production of
Flight 207. Our class was
transported by space craft
on, an attempted journey to
Pluto - but unfortunately we
had to make a crash landing
on an unknown planet
inhabited by monsters,'
Luckily we escaped and
were brought back safely to
Tarn to page 186
